I am a uni student in my fourth year studying who has always loved animals. While studying to become a vet used to be a childhood dream, I decided to instead pursue wildlife biology. Growing up with a dog and multiple guinea pigs and rabbits at home grew this love for caring for animals. One thing I miss the most being in Christchurch and away from home is my dog and the lack of furry friends around me while living in a student bubble. Throughout university, I would take every opportunity to volunteer at the SPCA through the Student Volunteer Army. 

I love tramping so I'm frequently active and healthy. If your dog prefers to go for a run, I'm up for it! A beach walk? Ideal. Short meanders around the reserve? Sounds good!

I am free on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sunday afternoons and would love the honour to take care of your pets during any of these time slots. During school holidays, I'm free right throughout the week. Caring for animals is a passion of mine, so taking the best possible care of your pet to ensure they're having a great time would bring me incredible joy too. 

For dog walks:

- Please provide the collar, leash/harness and poo bags. 

- If I get to know the dog well and trust they will come back to me, I like to let them off-lead in safe areas. 

- Are there any triggers / areas I need to be aware of? E.g. Are they scared of traffic noise, cats or bigger dogs? 

- I like to let the dogs lead their own walks, letting them pause to sniff around. 

If you would prefer a dog walk for longer than 30 minutes, let me know :) 

For house sitting:

- Letting out the dog to go to the toilet 

- LOTS of hugs, pets and attention

- Cleaning up any accidents that your pet has caused 

- Food and treats, refilling their water. 

- Playing with your pet if they have toys. 

For both services, I will keep in touch by sending photos or videos of your pet to ensure you know your pet is doing well!

I would love the chance to meet you and your pet, I'm super happy to do a meet and greet free of charge before taking them on a walk to make sure we click well!
