About me
Kia ora, I’m Hannah — An experienced, lifelong animal lover with a farming background, offering your dog or dogs a calm, cosy home with close supervision, good daily exercise, and plenty of attention. I am a work-from-home creative, mum of 2 children, and am based near Burnside Park in Christchurch, 5 minutes from the airport. With me, you have complete peace of mind, and your dog will enjoy a relaxed, happy mini-break with plenty of adventures, play, and photo updates to show you!
At home, we also have two cats for company who are used to meeting new dogs, but please no cat chasers.
Your pet's time with me
We’re a two-minute walk from Burnside Park. Daily walks are 45 minutes minimum, with longer adventures to the beach, McLeans Island, Halswell Quarry or Roto Kohatu as often as possible. I love being active and getting outdoors, which is best enjoyed in the company of dogs!
Your dog will be in capable hands. Walks are always tailored to your dog’s needs. I keep dogs on-leash until we’re confidently bonded and in a safe environment. I love to take them on the best adventures as much as possible and give them good runs with plenty of stimulation. I’m confident in first aid, medication management and individual care plans to meet the specific needs of your pet. I'm also experienced with behavioural issues and training techniques.
I offer:
• Individual and pack walks (with pick-up and drop-off service if required)
• Doggy day care including walks and play
• Overnight boarding for short or long stays
• Home visits
• Flexible drop-off and pick-up times
At home, your dog will enjoy:
• A spacious, fully fenced backyard with shade and room to play
• A warm spot by the fire
• Constant company (I work from home)
• Playful interaction with my two animal-loving children
• Daily photo and message updates
Pick-ups, parking, airport access & add-on services
We’re just 5 minutes from Christchurch Airport for easy drop-offs, and short-term parking may be available if needed.
I also offer pick-up services, home visits and customised care — just let me know what you require.
My experience
I’ve spent a lifetime caring for animals of all shapes and sizes, much of it living and working on farms.
Having run a farm myself, I’m confident in animal welfare, training techniques, first aid, and administering treatments when required. Should your ewe need midwifery skills, I’m your woman — though it's more throwing balls than catching lambs these days!
Good to know
I welcome vaccinated dogs who are safe around children and other pets (especially cats, as we have two). Please share any behavioural notes, routines, medications and your vet’s details so I can provide the best possible care.
I encourage a meet-and-greet prior to your booking if possible, so everyone feels comfortable and confident.
Please note: Early bookings are recommended for holidays, long weekends and peak travel periods, as popular dates can fill up well ahead of time.
What to bring
• Bed or crate (I can provide these if needed)
• Collar/harness & lead
• Food & treats
• Medications (if required)
• Dog poo bags
• Any favourite toys
I’d love to be your dog’s home away from home. Send an enquiry and let’s chat about how I can help. I look forward to meeting you and your pet soon!
