Loving Your Pets When You're Not There

Hello! I'm a reliable and caring pet sitter who understands that every pet is a valued member of the family. My goal is to make sure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away, while giving you peace of mind that they're receiving the best possible care.

I have experience caring for a wide range of animals, including cats, dogs, birds, and fish. I grew up with cats and have extensive knowledge of feline behaviour, health, and daily care. I currently volunteer with a local cat shelter, where I help care for cats with a variety of needs, including those who are unwell. Through this experience, I am confident administering medication to cats and am happy to discuss medication requirements for dogs and other pets as well.

Although I haven't owned a dog myself, I have regularly cared for dogs belonging to friends and family. My experience includes walking, feeding, playing with, and providing companionship to dogs of different sizes and personalities. I understand the importance of maintaining routines and ensuring pets feel comfortable while their owners are away. I ask that dogs have basic training and good leash manners. Unless otherwise instructed by the owner, I will keep dogs on a leash during walks. In poor weather conditions, I will always keep dogs on a leash to help prevent accidents and ensure their safety.

I'm confident handling a wide range of animal behaviours, from highly energetic dogs to anxious or shy cats and dogs. I have an anxious cat of my own, so I understand how important patience, consistency, and a calm approach can be when caring for nervous pets.

When meeting a new pet for the first time, I like to take things at their pace. I allow them time to become comfortable with me, learn their routine, and understand their individual personality and needs. This helps build trust and creates a positive experience for both the pet and owner.

Services I Offer:
• Dog walks (30–60 minutes depending on your pet's needs)
• Drop-in visits and overnight stays for feeding, fresh water, litter tray cleaning, toilet breaks, playtime, and companionship
• Pet-sitting visits for cats, dogs, birds, fish, and other small pets
• Medication administration where required
• Regular photo and message updates so you can stay connected with your pet

In the unlikely event of an emergency, I will contact the owner immediately and explain the situation. I'm experienced in recognising when a pet may be unwell and will respond appropriately. I hold a full driver's licence and can transport your pet to the vet if necessary. Whenever possible, I will consult with the owner before making any decisions regarding their pet's health or welfare.

My work schedule is casual, which means my availability is often flexible. Some weeks I only have a few shifts, while other weeks are busier, so I encourage owners to get in touch to discuss availability.

I'm a passionate animal lover and am currently saving for upcoming studies. Pet sitting allows me to do something I genuinely enjoy while helping pet owners feel confident that their animals are receiving excellent care.
