I am a recent graduate from Otago University where I did a Bachelor of Arts Majoring in Philosophy. I currently work in outdoor instructing and guiding. I have loved animals all my life and have spend alot of time learning how to take care of them. I am a outgoing, compassionate and patient person who spends most of my time outside, either hiking or camping. I lived with my Aunt and Uncle in Auckland for highschool and just before the Covid Lockdown we got a german shepherd as it was something my aunt and uncle were wanting to do for quite some time. As you can imagine the free time I had at home, I learnt alot about training dogs and still hold those skills to this day. This ranges from basic things like teaching them how to sit and wait, to training them to do mentally challenging tricks like finding specific objects and weaving through things too. I would be happy to teach your dogs these tricks and help with other behavioral issues. I also have experience working at a doggy day care centre where I learnt to provide basic grooming and hyginic needs to the animals there. With both my personal experience in owning and training dogs, as well as my experience working with the SPCA dogs that would often stay at the daycare between their trialing families and houses, I am confident with my ability to handle, train and take care of all types of dogs. 

Depending on each dog's personality and physical ability, I would also love to take them on walks by the beach or on hikes in the parks near by. I have my full drivers lisences and a car so I would be able to take them a little further out for some exciting adventures. As I am renting i am not allowed to have the dogs stay overnight but am happy to have them around the house during the day. I am happy for each session to be around 1-3 hours depending on how much time each individual dog needs. During house sits I am also able to do house hold things like watering plants, including staying overnight and attending to the dogs needs. During these times I will ensure that the dog and your home is always safe, making sure to lock doors and keep anything that could hurt the dog out of reach. On casual walks, I am happy to do early mornings, afternoons or evenings, whatever would suit you and your dogs needs. 

I find spending time with animals, especially dogs really makes me happy. This became clear to me when I volunteered with retired race horses in Malaysia. Including growing up with many stray dogs that my family adopted, I absolutely love watching each dog live thier lives as best as they can and love even more to be a part of what fills thier lives with adventure, excitement and joy.
