Hi, I’m Ruby, a student based in Christchurch with a genuine love for animals. I really enjoy caring for pets and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy while their owners are away. I have hands-on experience looking after dogs, cats, and small animals through caring for my own pets as well as helping friends and family. This has included feeding, walking, cleaning, and providing companionship to help pets feel settled in their environment. I’ve cared for animals with a range of personalities, from energetic dogs to more shy or anxious pets that need extra patience. I stay calm, give them space when needed, and build trust at their pace so they feel secure. For dogs, I provide daily walks (around 30–60 minutes) depending on their age, energy level, and usual routine. I’m always happy to adjust to what your pet is used to, whether that’s active walks or a slower pace. For house sitting or overnight stays, I keep your pet’s routine as normal as possible, including feeding, walks, and bedtime, so they feel relaxed and at home. I’m also happy to care for more than one pet at a time. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, so I’ll send regular updates and photos to give you peace of mind while you’re away.
