Hello!

We are William and Yui, an international couple living in Christchurch. Because we plan to live overseas in future, we are unable to own a dog of our own, which means we are especially excited to meet and look after yours!

William works as a language tutor and board game designer, and has previously worked as a caregiver, while Yui works as a chef, so we both have professional experience taking care of people. We also work either from home (William) or part-time (Yui), so there is almost always one of us at home. There are also three flatmates living at our property who love dogs, so they will never miss out on companionship. We grew up with family dogs (3 labradors and 1 dalmatian) and have often been cat and dog sitters for friends.

William owns our home, so we can arrange its physical setup to suit your needs without needing permission from a landlord. It is fully fenced and there is a large backyard. We are close to two fantastic dog parks at Styx Mill and the Groynes, which we visit often with William’s brother’s dog Toby. We also sometimes go further afield to Victoria Park dog park. The Jellie and Edgar Macintosh parks are also just around the corner from us for on-lead walks.

We have no restrictions on dog size, and your dog is welcome to sleep inside or outside. However, for indoor sleepers we do ask they be potty-trained to protect the carpet. If they prefer to sleep outside, we have a kennel. We also ask that all dogs who stay at our home be vaccinated, wormed and treated for fleas.
