Hi! My name is Ariel, and I’m currently living in Auckland on a working visa, originally from Canada. I’ve grown up around animals my entire life and truly believe pets are part of the family. Back home I have a Rhodesian Ridgeback named PrimRose and a Bengal cat named Catniss, who are both currently with my family while I’m abroad. Being away from them has only made me realize even more how important it is to have someone trustworthy and caring looking after your pets when you can’t be there.

My motivation to be a pet sitter comes from my genuine love for animals and the joy I get from spending time with them. I know how important it is for pets to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away, so I always do my best to keep their routine as normal as possible.

I offer dog walking, drop-in home visits, and pet sitting, and I’m happy to tailor care to your pet’s individual needs. My dog walks are typically 30–60 minutes depending on your dog’s energy level, age, and routine. During walks I focus on safe, attentive handling and making sure dogs get both exercise and mental stimulation. For home visits, I make sure pets are fed, have fresh water, get bathroom breaks, playtime, and plenty of attention so they don’t feel lonely while you’re away.

I also have experience with dogs who have behavioural needs, rescue pets, and dogs in training. I’m comfortable reinforcing training routines, practicing basic commands, and maintaining consistency with whatever structure you use at home. I’m experienced with constant supervision for active dogs and can administer oral medications if needed.

Above all, I treat every pet as if they were my own. My goal is always to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away, and to give you peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands.
