I am a 36 year old female, visiting from the UK currently on a working holiday visa. My love for animals is genuine and when I'm not around them I feel like something is missing. Being a non-resident in NZ, I have not been able to commit to owning my own pet, and I can honestly say that I really miss having animals in my life. 

I have looked after people's pets many times before - for my auntie in the UK, for various friends here in NZ when they have gone away on holidays. I lived in Australia for a short time and I looked after friends pets there too. When animals are in my care it is very important to me that they are always happy, and live their life as they normally would just like when they're with their owners. I completely understand that a pet isn't just a pet, they are a member of the family, and should be shown love and be given the best quality of life. I seem to naturally make a connection with almost every domestic pet I encounter. I'm truly in my element when I'm in the company of animals. I would want to give the owners the utmost reassurance that their pet would be looked after and cared for to the highest standards and prioritised while they are away, so that they can fully enjoy their time away.
