About Me

Hi! My name is Fernanda, I'm 19 and I'm from Brazil. I’m a Media Design School student living in Greenlane, Auckland.

I’ve grown up surrounded by dogs of different sizes and personalities, including senior dogs who need extra patience and care.

I have personal experience caring for dogs with medical conditions, including administering eye drops and oral medication, as well as supporting blind and visually impaired dogs. Caring for my own senior dog with glaucoma and vision loss has taught me to be patient, observant, and attentive to even the smallest changes in a pet’s behaviour and wellbeing.

I also have experience caring for very energetic and active dogs who need plenty of physical exercise, mental stimulation, and consistent routines. I understand the importance of keeping high-energy dogs engaged through walks, play, and positive interaction to help them stay happy and well-balanced.

I understand that every pet is unique. Some are energetic and love long walks and playtime, while others are shy, anxious, or simply prefer a calm companion. I always adapt my approach to each pet’s personality, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and respected at their own pace.

During every visit, I make sure your pet has fresh water, food if needed, exercise or playtime, plenty of attention, and a quick wellbeing check to ensure everything seems normal. If I ever notice anything unusual or if an emergency arises, I’ll contact you immediately and follow your instructions to make sure your pet receives the best possible care.

I believe communication is one of the most important parts of pet sitting, so I’ll always keep you updated with photos and messages after each visit, giving you peace of mind while you’re away.

Whether it’s going for a walk, feeding, playing, giving medication, or simply keeping your pet company, I’ll care for them as if they were my own.

Experience

I have hands-on experience caring for both small and large dogs, including senior dogs and dogs with medical needs.

I’m comfortable following feeding routines, administering oral medication and eye drops, and adapting to each pet’s personality and routine. I also have experience caring for a dog with vision loss, which has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and creating a safe, reassuring environment.
