Hi! I’m Kirsty, an Auckland-based house and pet sitter who loves animals and has plenty of experience looking after both pets and homes while their owners are away.

I’ve completed a range of house sits, from shorter stays through to long-term sits of several months, caring for cats and dogs with all sorts of personalities, routines and energy levels. I’m comfortable with energetic dogs who love their daily adventures, affectionate pets who want to be by your side, and independent cats who prefer attention strictly on their own terms!

For me, pet sitting is about keeping your pets’ lives as normal, comfortable and stress-free as possible while you’re away. I’m happy to stick closely to their usual routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, litter trays, basic medication and, of course, plenty of attention and cuddles.

For dog walks, I generally allow around 30–60 minutes depending on your dog’s usual routine, age and energy levels. I’m happy to follow their normal walking route or take them to suitable local parks and walking areas they’re familiar with.

For home visits, I’ll usually spend around 30 minutes with your pet, giving me plenty of time for feeding, fresh water, litter or toilet breaks, playtime and some company.

When house sitting, I work around your pet’s existing routine as much as possible, including how long they’re normally comfortable being left alone. 

I’m also comfortable providing basic medication with clear instructions, such as tablets given with food and simple topical medications. If your pet has more specific or complex medical needs, just let me know beforehand and we can chat about what’s required.

I know it can be a big deal trusting someone with both your pets and your home. I’m clean, respectful and responsible, and I’ll treat your space as carefully as I would my own. I take home security seriously too, including keeping keys secure and carefully following any instructions around alarms, gates, doors and windows. I’m also more than happy to send regular photos and updates so you can relax knowing everything is going well back home.

Alongside overnight house sitting, I offer home visits and dog walking, whether you’re away, working a long day or simply need an extra helping hand.
