I have returned to the 'dog world' after getting my puppy Chester in 2016. I have previously had cats, and co-owned dogs with partners. I grew up on a farm with cats and dogs, as well as horses, cows, etc. I have always loved animals but have realised since having Chester that being with dogs is my 'happy place'! I am now dog-obsessed and love all the time I can find with Chester and all his friends that we meet while out walking.

I love taking Chester for walks at the beach, around Waiatarua Reserve, Mt Wellington and Cornwall Park - I believe the variety is important for both Chester and myself, especially as we usually walk twice a day. I love getting out and finding all the amazing dog-friendly parks in Auckland, so any excuse to walk more is great. I have arranged a number of 'afternoon teas' which involves all the local dogs Chester & I meet getting together for 'play-dates' - they have a ball and so do the owners!

I am very good with shy or nervous dogs, and although I love lots of cuddles and 'puppy-kisses', I am firm with dogs, and it seems to make them feel more secure.
