We're Sophie & Ariel. A fun and friendly couple in our early 30s from England & Chile who have called New Zealand home for the past 5 years. We were both fortunate to grow up in the countryside on farms and spent the best part of our childhoods helping our parents with taking care of the animals. This is where our love and compassion for animals stemmed from. We grew up around pet animals and livestock so appreciate the hard work that goes into taking care of all kinds of animals. We’re not shy to get stuck in and offer a helping hand wherever we can! 

Having spent some time away from our own pets, we really miss the joy they bring to our lives, so we're now looking for opportunities to meet and care for some furry friends here in New Zealand. 🐶 😃

I (Sophie) work from home during the week and my schedule is pretty flexible. I am available in the mornings and afternoons for in-house checkups. I’m also available at any time of the day for dog walking. We're based in Ellerslie but happy to travel to other areas across Auckland (within a 10km radius on weekdays). On weekends, we both have more time and can travel to any location. 

During weekends, we are both available for dog walking in the surrounding area, or we’re happy to pick them up and explore new areas around Auckland. Just let us know your preferences, and we’ll do our best to accommodate! 

Services we offer

Dog walking - For up to 1 hour per day on weekdays and/or weekends. $25 for a 30 minute walk or $40 for a 60 minute walk. We’re avid runners and more than happy to adjust the pace/distance depending on your dog’s needs and how much energy they have to burn! We can pick up/ drop off your pooch for their walk and have a reliable car and a full driver's license. Please note: If you would like a 30 min walk please book the home visit service so you are only charged $25. 😊

Home visits - (up to 2 times per day). I will provide your pet with some companionship during their day and ensure they’re fed, watered, and happy before I leave. 😃

Housesitting - While we are unable to have pets at our rental property, we can travel to you to provide housesitting services. We can be flexible with the duration of this service, depending on your needs - it could range from a few hours to staying the entire weekend.
