Hi, I'm Francesca. I always had animals around me since I turned 1 yo (long time ago). I'm an overall animal lover. Cats and dogs are my favorites, but I have a soft spot for all creatures, from the tiniest mouse to the tallest giraffe! At home, I have my own very spoiled cat, who loves cuddles and roaming around our garden. I grew up with cats, dogs and fish, and over the years I’ve also looked after a lot friends’ pets (and worked with vet clinic, in Italy, although I'm not a vet). Animals have always been a big part of my life, and my love for them goes well beyond the usual cuddles and walks. In fact, one of my most memorable birthday presents was a day working in a zoo! I got to feed giraffes and otters, clean up after rhinos and elephants, create toys for tigers (a sticky job), and experience so much more. I know all about the importance of making pets feel safe, comfortable and loved, while respecting their routines and personalities. What I offer: Pet sitting and home visits: I’m happy to look after your pet in the comfort of their own home, where they can stay in familiar surroundings. Depending on their needs, this can include feeding, fresh water, playtime, cuddles, companionship and keeping their usual routine. I’m also happy to take dogs for walks, accompany pets to their usual activities, or simply spend some quality time with them if they prefer a quieter day. I can tailor each visit to your pet, whether they need an energetic walk, a playmate or a little extra company while you’re away. Dog walking and activities: Walks are generally a minimum of one hour, unless we agree otherwise — for example, if your dog is older or needs a shorter, gentler outing. If you’re in the St Heliers, Kohi, Mission Bay area, we could enjoy a walk along the beach, explore Madill’s Farm, or visit a local reserve where dogs are permitted. I’m also happy to stay within familiar neighbourhoods and walking routes that your furry friend already knows and loves. Your pet’s comfort, safety and usual routine always come first. Keeping you updated: I know it can be hard to leave your pet in someone else’s care, so I’m very happy to keep you in the loop. I can send you updates, photos and little snippets of your pet’s day via whatsapp, so you can see how they’re getting on, whether they’ve enjoyed their walk, had their meal or settled in happily. I’m also happy to follow any specific instructions you have about communication. I’m available during school hours, making me a great option if you need help while you’re at work or busy during the day. I’m comfortable around different kinds of animals and happy to follow your instructions carefully to make sure they receive the right care. Most importantly, I understand that pets are family. My goal is to give yours plenty of attention, patience and affection, so you can get on with your day knowing they’re in caring hands.
