About Iveta
I am originally from Lithuania, but I’ve lived in New Zealand for the past 7 years. I work at a bank as a project manager and work from home two days a week. A little while ago, I housesat for my colleague’s parents, looking after their pets for three weeks. I really enjoyed the experience and decided I’d love to do it again! After that I did 4 more housesitting jobs in Auckland through another housesitting website.
I know how to look after a property as I own a home in New Zealand and am also a landlord so I understand the importance of keeping things well cared for. While housesitting, I make sure to keep the home secure by locking all doors and windows when I leave, checking on the property regularly, bringing in mail and packages so the house looks lived in, and following any specific instructions you may have. I'm also happy to keep in touch with updates while you're away, so you can relax knowing everything is under control.
I’m comfortable with most animals, except some dogs. I’ve previously owned a cat, a turtle, and an aquarium. During my last housesit, I cared for chickens, goldfish, rabbits, and cats. I also have a lot of plants myself, so I’ll happily take care of yours too. I promise to treat your home with respect and to love and care for your pet(s) as if they were my own.
For home visits, I’m available in the mornings and evenings, depending on the area. For housesitting, I’m available for as long as needed.
