My name is Ruben, I am 23 years old and live in Auckland.

I grew up on a dairy farm further South and developed a great love and care for all animals since I was a kid. Although

my love for animals applies to all

I have a special soft spot for mans best friend. No matter where I go in the world I always manage to find a dog to play with. I have never met a dog that hasn't enjoyed my company, to parents out there with shy and nervous four legged friends, I am told on a regular basis "Wow he/she normally dislikes/is nervous around of new people, I’m amazed", I don't know what it is but I have a connection with dogs, many of which I’ve met in the photos above.

My darling girl and best friend is the shaded border collie "Shady". I miss her daily and would love to have her with me but she is a farm dog and she belongs in the country. Our other farm home pets included 4 Cats and 2 more dogs. My love and lack of many animals around me is the core reason for me being a pet sitter, I like to think we need them as much as they need us.

In terms of work i am a videographer and I now run my own business after 3 years of university at AUT, I live with my girlfriend Ayla (who works in retail) and her families Husky Pup Arlo, both of whom appear in the above photos. My occupation provides a great amount of time to be with your pet as I devote 70% of my work time to editing (home based/at house sitting) and there is nothing I love more than a pet to procrastinate and play with. On the rare occasions when I am filming projects in the evenings Ayla is always on hand to be there for your special friends and is just as much of pet lover as me.

We are all up for animals that need meds, vet visits, appointments, twice a day exercise, pampering, bed room sleeping, need to be locked out at night or just need a cuddle or two. One of the best aspects of life is animals and I want to meet, play with and love as many as I can in my life time. No matter the animal I will provide a stress free and happy environment giving your pet all the attention it needs while meeting the expectations of you the loving owner.

In regards to home stays, I am more than happy to look after your property at the same time, I can offer managing waste bins, bringing in the mail or even watering your plants while leaving your place just as it was left, with a happy pet and a clean home.

Should you want updates on your pets stay I am more than happy to provide these as often as you would like and in regards to home stays and I would love to do some free professional photography of your pets to leave you with on your return should you wish it.

Service Information

• Dog Walks:

Will be between 30-45 minutes (Even an hour on a beautiful day time depending). Available for morning and afternoon walks

• Home Visits: Will be between 45-60 minutes, full of everything that your pet needs, feeding, cuddles, attention and all else you desire.
• Home Stays: Based on my work as mentioned above I fortunately have the pleasure of working home (Where ever the home I am sitting may be). Meaning your pet will have a more full time companion. Me and Ayla are clean, happy go lucky individuals and aim to leave your house and pet better than you found it.
• Dog Boarding: Again I will be home a great deal to be with your pet. There is me, my Girlfriend and her Brother all living at home with the Husky Pup Arlo shown in the photos above. We have beds for your pets to sleep on in the lounge with a large fully fenced back yard fully secure for your animals. I spend a lot of time getting to know knew pets which really helps the nervous ones.
