Hi everyone! My partner and I are looking for house-sitting opportunities in Auckland from November 2026, and we’re available going forward indefinitely. We’d be especially happy to help over the Christmas and New Year period, when we know lots of people are heading away on holiday.

We’re both animal lovers and experienced pet sitters (however not via Pawshake - first time using this site), with plenty of experience caring for dogs and cats. We’ve previously house/dog sat in France and the UK, and we both grew up surrounded by dogs and cats, so caring for animals is something that comes very naturally to us. We’re vegetarian, animal-loving, trustworthy and respectful, and would treat your home and pets as if they were our own. We’re happy to follow individual pet routines, take dogs for walks, keep your home tidy, water plants, collect mail and generally make sure everything is looked after while you’re away.

We also have our own car, so we’re flexible with location and getting around Auckland. We’re very happy to provide more references upon request and would love to have a chat if you’re looking for someone reliable to look after your home and furry family members!!

We are a healthy couple and enjoy short and long walks, depending no your pets needs. I (Charlie) also have experience working on farms caring for farm animals. One of my farmstays included caring for sick chickens, so I am fully capable in delivering medication to animals, especially orally. Pets will have company likely most of the time, and if there are any specific requirements we are fully flexible.
