My name is Joe, I am 29 and I am excited to offer my services to help you out with your beloved pets! 

I grew up around dogs. 

My mother bred boxers when I was younger and we had 4 boxer dogs throughout my childhood. 

I am no stranger to walking dogs big or small ! 

My parents also owned a rescued lurcher (if you are unfamiliar with this breed, think, big crossbred greyhound) that I cared for often. She was unpredictable around other dogs which taught me a lot around the handling and awareness of different dog’s temperaments in uncertain environments.

I love animals, walking and finding new parks, so to have a fluffy companion to do this with fills me with excitement. 

I have been gardening since I was 16 so I am no stranger to walking for hours on end and I am fairly strong when I need to be.

Walks are tailored to each dog's needs and typically last 30–60 minutes, dpending on your pooch. I carefully match dogs when walking more than one at a time to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience. For boarding, pets stay in a relaxed, home environment where they'll receive plenty of exercise, attention, and care. I always prioritise their safety, comfort, and happiness, so you can have peace of mind while you're away.

Bitter sweet - I was recently made redundant from my long-term landscape gardening role, which means I have more time now to do what I love and hang out with your furry friends!  

To keep me going, I also teach music to youth part time, in Te Atatu.

My lessons occupy me on Thursday mornings from 9am-1pm. 

I typically would not usually travel those ways for walkies, however, if you are located in Te Atatu, I would be more than happy to integrate walks before/after my lessons. 

Generally speaking though, I would like to stick to central Auckland areas. 

I have a full clean drivers license and a safe car to transport your pooches to and from the park! 

(Or not! A walk straight from home does the trick too, it’s up to you)

I am originally from the UK and moved to Auckland 5 years ago with my lovely kiwi partner!

I live with her in Sandringham and we own a cat called Ringo. 

Yes, he is a rockstar.

Since I have only just begun my Pawshake journey, you may have noticed I infact do not have any reviews yet!

To compensate, I have begrudgingly asked some dear friends to write up a little quote about me, to hopefully ease you into getting to know me a little fonder… find these in my images.

Pets staying with me will have regular toilet breaks throughout the day, plenty of exercise, and a comfortable place to sleep inside my home. I won't leave boarded pets alone and will always make sure they're settled and happy, this is my priority. I'll also keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, cared for, and enjoying their stay.
