Hi there, I'm Abby!

Originally from the South Island, I moved north to pursue a career in Marketing and am now based in Ellerslie, Auckland. While I’d love a dog of my own, right now isn’t the right time, so Pawshake is the perfect way for me to get my daily dose of dog joy!

I’ve grown up around dogs and have always had a natural connection with them. At 10 years old, I proudly taught my nan’s dog to shake, sit, stay, roll over, and even speak! So you could say I’ve been training pups since before it was cool. I've cared for all sorts of breeds including Schnauzers, Rottweiler mixes, Labradors, Staffies, and Border Collies. Big or small, I love them all.

But it's not just dogs, I’m also happy to pop in and care for your cat (or any other animal), whether it’s feeding, topping up water bowls, or just giving them a bit of company while you’re away.

I work full-time from 8am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, but I’m available for early morning, evening, and weekend walks or drop-ins. I have my own spacious car, so travel is no issue, perfect if your furry friend needs a lift or a fun change of scenery!

Whether it’s a stroll through the park, a cuddle session while you're away, or simply topping up their food and water bowls, I’m happy to help. Just a heads up, my only flaw is I can be a bit too generous with the treats (so maybe ration me!).
