Hey I'm Scarlett! I’ve grown up loving animals, which was shaped by being raised on a dairy farm surrounded by them every day. Animals are truly my passion. I was lucky enough to grow up with two cats, two rabbits, and a Newfoundland dog who was my best friend, they all played such a special role in my life. Through both my own pets and my farm background, I’ve gained experience caring for animals of all kinds and therefore know how to ensure they are happy and comfortable. Over the past year, alongside being a uni student, I’ve been working as a dog pack walker, walking and managing groups of up to 12 dogs at a time. Dog walking is a huge part of my skill set, and this experience has given me the confidence and ability to safely control and manage multiple dogs while making sure every dog is happy, comfortable, and having the best time. I also have experience dog sitting and have my own car, which means I can take dogs on fun adventures to parks, beaches, and new environments. I am happy to provide different walk durations depending on your dog's needs ranging from 30 minutes to 2 hours. I live in a new-build home with a small, fenced outdoor area and can offer dogs the option to stay at my place on a case-by-case basis. I would love to host your dog, but I understand that not every home suits every dog, so I’m always happy to chat first to make sure it’s the right fit. My flatmate has a friendly spoodle who is home in the evenings, and during the week I step out to uni for a couple of hours 2-3 days a week. On some of those days, my partner works from home and can keep an eye on things. If your dog stays with me, they will still receive daily walks, enrichment, and lots of attention. I’m also very comfortable setting up and using a crate if that’s part of your dog’s routine. I’m very experienced with hands-on dog care through helping at my workplace farmstay, where I sometimes assist with the care of over 20 dogs across a weekend. This includes feeding, exercising, administering medication, cleaning up after them, and making sure every dog receives attentive, individual care. I truly love spending time with animals and treat every animal with the same care, patience, and affection as if they were my own.
