I’ve cared for animals in lots of different settings over the years. Back in 2020, when I was living in Brighton, I used an app to walk people’s dogs and often looked after them overnight, either in my home or in theirs. I’ve also house sat and cared for my sister’s dog, the chunky English bulldog in my photos, more times than I can count. Growing up, I had my own boxer dog who I loved dearly, and because of her, boxer dogs hold an extra special place in my heart.

My most recent house sit saw me looking after a little French bulldog called Harvey (whom I completely fell in love with) and two cats, Figlet and Oliver. It genuinely felt like I had my own little gang... hanging out all day, sharing cuddles, dancing around the house and parking up on the couch for some excellent movie nights.

I’m very comfortable caring for pets who need a bit of extra attention or have specific routines. My sister’s English bulldog, Gus, requires daily cleaning of his rolls with ointment, regular nail clipping and plenty of gentle handling. When he was a puppy, we were careful to protect his joints, so I always lifted him on and off the couch, bed or out of the car rather than letting him jump. I’m confident, patient and careful when following instructions, and I always prioritise a pet’s comfort, safety and wellbeing.

I’m also calm and capable in unexpected situations. In my professional life, I’ve worked at the NZ Herald, where having a level head, acting quickly and making responsible decisions during high-pressure or chaotic moments is essential. That experience translates naturally into how I care for pets... if something doesn’t seem right, I act fast, stay calm and communicate clearly, always putting your pet’s safety first.

Alongside this, I’m a creative and work as a videographer, so you can expect plenty of photo and video updates while you’re away... I know how reassuring it is to see your pets happy, relaxed and well cared for, and I love capturing their little personalities.

When it comes to caring for homes, I genuinely enjoy keeping a space clean and organised. It’s one of the first things I do each morning because it helps me feel productive and grounded. I love nature and I’m happy to look after plants too, as long as I have clear instructions... I definitely don’t want to overwater any of your plant babies! I treat every home as if it were my own, with respect, care and a real appreciation for creating a calm, tidy environment while you’re away.

I love house sitting because it allows me to explore new places while creating a cosy home for a little while. Caring for pets brings me so much joy... I love giving them company, cuddles, calm routines and plenty of walks while their people are away.
