We are a caring family in Meadowbank who genuinely love dogs and enjoy having them around. Over the past few years, we have fostered and looked after a couple of dogs, giving us experience with different personalities, energy levels and care needs. We have also cared for a foster dog through recovery after an operation, providing extra attention, rest and careful supervision during the recovery period.

We have two boys, aged 13 and 9, who are both very enthusiastic about dogs and love spending time with them. They enjoy playing with dogs, going for walks and giving them plenty of attention. As a family, we understand that every dog is different, so we take the time to learn their routine, temperament, likes and dislikes before looking after them.

We are very close to Waiatarua Reserve, which is ideal for regular dog walks and outdoor time. We tailor walks to each dog's age, fitness, energy level and normal routine. Some dogs enjoy a longer, active walk, while others prefer a relaxed walk with plenty of time to sniff and explore. We always keep dogs safely supervised and on lead unless there is a specific, safe and agreed arrangement with the owner.

For dogs staying with us, we provide regular walks, playtime, companionship, feeding according to their normal routine and plenty of affection. We are happy to follow specific instructions from owners and make sure their usual routine is maintained as much as possible.

Our home is a family environment, so we are best suited to friendly, well-socialised dogs who are comfortable around children and normal household activity. We prefer to have a meet-and-greet first so we can understand your dog's needs and make sure everyone is comfortable.
