Kia ora, all! I'm a 27yo remote digital artist on the Shore and am hoping to branch into professional dog walking and sitting! Being partially blind and an avid tramper means i'm out, walkng all around the Shore everyday so why not have some furry friends along? I'm based on Northcote but am very happy to travel accross the Shore and CBD for house sitting, walks and feedings, especially for regulars!

While i'm not a dog owner, I have walked and sat for family friends for many years: A year old lab called Enzo with high energy and needing constant stuimulation; a mischievous corgi gentleman named Remus suffering arthritis; and house sitting with Bijou, the loveliest french bulldog you've ever met. Both house sitting and walking these boys regularly opened professional dog walking for me. 

Each dog walk: At least 40min on a route with the most greenery I can find in the area for your furry friend! + a bit of play because they deserve it. 

Stay overs (dogs) : Will include at least one daily walk and play time including any addditional notes of individual care you have! Flexible drop-off and pick-up times. 

House sits (cats, dogs other small animals): With dogs there will always be at least one walk and some play involved, verbal and physical interaction for every cat and dog care. I'm confident in feedings for other small enimals but please get in touch for more diverse care. 

Every service includes: Interacting with your furry friend cause we're now pals, photos of their adventures and daily activities, open communication and attentive care.

My name is Charlie and I am the owner of a cute wee corgi named Remus (Rems, Remy). I rescued Rems when he was a puppy from an unsafe situation when I was living in Macau, a Special Administrative Region of China. He was pretty broken when I got him and did a lot of work to socialize him, but because of trauma when he was a puppy he was very resistant to men. Joe became a close friend of mine once Remy and I come home to New Zealand and Joe knew Remy’s backstory and took time to get to know him at Remy’s pace. I truly believe that Rems has a better time meeting men now because he was able to trust and then absolutely love Joe. They have a full blown, spooning on the couch bromance at this point! Rems is now 9 years old and as degenerative myelopathy, and so he doesn’t move at the pace that he used to and it is so beautiful to watch Joe meet him wherever he is at energy and movement wise, most of the time on ground these days. I have a lot in the past and always will in the future trust my boy in Joe’s care. He has fantastic dog instincts and is one of the most caring people I know. I would have no hesitation recommending him to any other dog owner.

To Whom It May Concern, My name is Lisa Grant. I have had Joe Stockhausen, look after my 3 year old Sharpe/Bully Breed cross. Joe was fantastic with him, and he managed to calm my dog down when he was anxious and unsettled when I was away and I had trusted him in Joe’s care. He has been able to feed and walk my dog without any issues, and my dog thinks he’s amazing. My dog can become over excited but Joe has dealt with this and has managed to calm him down every time he has been in Joes presence and become over excited, or anxious.
