Hello, I’m a passionate animal lover with a lifelong background in caring for a wide range of pets. While I don’t have formal pet-sitting experience, I’ve spent much of my life living and working on farms outside of Auckland, where caring for animals was part of everyday life.

I’ve looked after a variety of family pets, including cats, dogs, rabbits, chickens, goats, and even small turtles — each treated as a valued member of the family. This has given me a strong understanding of animal behaviour, routines, and the patience, attention and care animals require.

Currently, I’m unable to have pets in my home due to rental restrictions, but I’m eager to spend my time caring for animals and providing them with the attention, comfort, companionship and exercise they deserve. I understand that every pet is different, so I’m happy to follow your usual routines and instructions to help your pets feel comfortable and settled while you’re away.

Availability

I’m available Saturday–Wednesday from 6pm for all services, including overnight stays. For overnight stays on these evenings, I would leave around 7am the following morning for work.

On Thursdays and Fridays, I’m available all day and can provide all services, including overnight stays.

Home Visits

For home visits, I’m happy to stay for a minimum of 1 hour to give your pets plenty of attention, interaction and companionship. Depending on your needs and what we agree to beforehand, I can also water house plants, bring in mail and take care of other reasonable household tasks while I’m there.

Medication & Pet Care

I’m comfortable administering routine pet medication according to clear instructions provided by the owner or veterinarian. I’m happy to follow medication schedules carefully and keep you updated when medication has been given.

I’m also happy to provide pet baths when requested. At this stage, I don’t offer professional grooming or formal pet training services.

Dog Walking

I’m more than happy to take dogs for walks and will base the length and pace of the walk around the individual dog’s age, energy level, temperament and needs.

Im happy to take your doggos to pet-friendly parks and beaches near your home, and I’m also happy to drive to parks or beaches I’m familiar with if your dog is comfortable travelling in a car.

House Sitting

I’m happy to provide overnight house sitting and will make your pet’s routine and wellbeing my priority while I’m there. I’ll treat your home respectfully and leave it in the same condition I found it.

For security, I’ll keep doors, windows and other access points appropriately secured, won’t allow unauthorised people into the property, and will keep your home and personal information private. I’ll also maintain the usual appearance of the home where possible, such as bringing in mail and keeping things tidy, so it doesn’t appear unattended. If I notice anything unusual, concerning or potentially unsafe, I’ll contact you promptly and follow any emergency or security instructions you’ve provided.

Most importantly, I’m a reliable, trustworthy and attentive caregiver who will treat your pets with the same care, patience and respect as I would my own. I understand how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your animals and your home in someone else’s care, and I’ll do my best to give you peace of mind while you’re away.
