🐾 A lifelong cat lover

I have a cat of my own, and honestly, I’ve had cats for as long as I can remember — and I’m 40 now! 😊

Our current family member is a beautiful, sophisticated black lady who we adopted after she was sadly thrown out onto the street while pregnant. She completely stole our hearts, and she’s very much part of the family now. ❤️

If I could afford it, I’d probably have a whole house full of cats… but I have to remember that I have a few human children to look after too! 😂 That’s one of the reasons I love being a pet sitter — I get to spend time with more wonderful cats without turning my own home into a full-time cat sanctuary.

I’ve always looked after friends’ and family members’ pets, and over the years I’ve learned that I’m particularly good at making cats feel comfortable and safe. I believe patience is the key, especially with shy, nervous or anxious kitties. I’m happy to let them come to me in their own time rather than forcing interaction.

With a calm approach, patience and a few well-timed treats, I usually find a way to win them over. 🥰 My goal is for your cat to feel safe, relaxed and cared for while you’re away.

🏠 Home visits

I’m available for once or twice-daily home visits in the Auckland North Shore area. Unfortunately, I'm not able to travel much further than that, as I have a big family to take care of at home — thank you for understanding!

I know how stressful it can be to leave your beloved pet at home when you go away. I want you to feel confident that they’re not only being fed and looked after, but also getting attention, affection and company while you’re gone.

During my visits, I can:

🍽️ Feed them and refresh their water
🧹 Clean litter boxes and tidy up any small messes
💊 Administer medication where I’m comfortable doing so, including tablets, liquid medication and ear drops. I’m happy to discuss your pet’s specific needs with you beforehand.
🧶 Play with them and keep them entertained
❤️ Give plenty of cuddles, pats and scratches — if they’re into that!
📸 Send you photos and/or videos so you can see how they’re doing
🌿 Water your indoor and outdoor plants
🌱 Give your garden a little attention while you’re away, such as watering plants
📬 Bring in mail, put bins out/in and help make your home look occupied if needed

I’ll always follow your instructions carefully and let you know if I notice anything unusual about your pet or your home.

I understand that letting someone into your home and trusting them with your beloved pet is a big deal. I’ll treat both your home and your animals with the same respect and care I would expect for my own family.

Most importantly, I’ll treat your cat as I would my own — with patience, kindness, attention and lots of love. ❤️
