Hi! I'm Amelia, a 19 year old student studying at the University of Auckland. I absolutely love and adore dogs, having grown up with one from the age of 5 until I was 17. I am a pretty active person and often go on walks, so I would love to have a doggy companion along with me! My walks range from 30 minutes, to an hour or longer with a minimum of 3kms, I live in both the Silverdale and North Shore area so my walks are taken around these areas, either on the beach or just around local streets. I can ensure your dog will be in safe hands as I will take extra care of them - as if they are my own. I'll also share photo updates to you of your pet enjoying their time outside! My part time job means my availability changes each week depending on my roster, however I usually don't begin work until the evenings so I am available most days. I love all dogs no matter shape or size, and have experience in walking and caring for many varieties of dog breeds through several friends who have needed someone to look after their own pets. My own dog was slightly reactive to other dogs, so if your own pet is similar I would take caution such as crossing the road when approaching another dog to keep distance as a safety precaution, and inform other dog owners we may come across of these situations. I am comfortable walking up to 2 dogs at once. My own dog that I grew up with became blind and deaf in her old age, so I have experience dealing with dogs with these disabilities. I would be open to also offering pet care services, however would prefer people searching for a dog walker. If you are looking for someone to walk or care for your dog, I would love to be considered to be the person to do so!
