Hi! I’m Carli, an 18-year-old animal lover based in Auckland 🐾

I moved from South Africa to New Zealand in 2019 and have recently finished high school. I have started my Beauty Therapy qualification at the Elite School of Beauty on Queen Street, and I finish end of October 2026 (which means I have class from 9am to 4pm every Monday to Friday. But just send me a message and we can discuss my availability).

I’m calm, responsible, and genuinely love caring for animals. I understand how stressful it can be leaving your pets and home with someone new, so I always aim to make both pets and owners feel comfortable, relaxed, and confident.

I’ve had dogs my whole life and am very used to being home alone, following routines, and taking responsibility. I treat every pet and home as if they were my own.

Availability

I’m currently available on Fridays and weekends. I am available for house sits in the week depending on location.

⚠️ Important note:

My full flexibility is during the holiday periods. After that, my availability may change slightly due to my studies, but I will always communicate clearly and update my calendar regularly.

Services I Offer

🐕 Dog Walking

• Walks in your local neighbourhood or nearby parks

• Walk length agreed based on your dog’s needs

• Calm walks, exercise, and mental stimulation

• Fresh water and basic care after walks

🐾 Pet Sitting (Owner’s Home Only)

I only offer pet sitting in the owner’s home, as I have my own dog who doesn’t cope well with other dogs.

During visits or stays, I can:

• Feed pets and refresh water

• Provide playtime and companionship

• Clean litter trays and pet areas

• Follow your pet’s routine closely

• Carry out all care as requested

🏠 House Sitting

While house sitting, I can:

• Stay overnight or for extended periods

• Keep your home secure (doors, windows, gates)

• Keep the house tidy and organised

• Do basic cleaning and light cooking

• Bring in mail and maintain the home

• Care for pets and follow all household instructions

I’m very comfortable being home alone and maintaining household security.

My Experience & Why I Do This

I’ve had a dog continuously since I was five years old and grew up with a lot of responsibility. Being homeschooled meant I was often home alone, managing routines and caring for pets independently. Because of this, I’m confident, reliable, and attentive when it comes to pet care.

I became a pet sitter because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and giving owners peace of mind while they’re away. I’m also looking for casual work alongside my studies, but the care and safety of your pets always come first.
