Nice to meet you! I'm Lucy, 28 years old, and an experienced dog walker, pet/house sitter, and currently work as a doggy daycare attendant. I was born and raised in the North Shore so I'm very familiar with our local parks, beaches, and neighbourhoods, and love to explore new places. As a life-long petowner myself I understand the commitment it takes to makes sure they're healthy, happy, and living their best life. I'm all too familiar with the stress of leaving your pet behind on trips away from home, and make it my personal goal for each Pet Sitting and House Sitting service to minimize all the stress and anxiety for both you and your pets.

I have a current animal first aid certification from Pet First Aid & Training NZ.

I am based in both Sunnynook and Takapuna, and have a preference to service those and immediate areas. I am happy to service a majority of the North Shore area and beyond availability pending. I DO NOT service areas south of the North Shore but am happy to go out North or West for an extra charge.


Experience with dogs:
~ larger breeds including mountain dogs, mastiffs, malamutes/huskies, shepherds, collies, retrievers, rottweilers, American staffies
~ smaller breeds including terriers, pugs, English staffies, oodles, spaniels, dashchunds, chihuahuas, malteses, bichons, griffons, schnauzers
~ dog reactive, collar/leash reactive, territorial, anxious, and shy dogs including those from a resuce or with a traumatic background
~ on-lead and off-lead walks, pack walks of up to 5 dogs
~ puppies as young as 3 months, and elderly dogs up to 15 years
~ administering medication orally (tablet, liquid), and topically on skin and gums
~ performing basic grooming including brushing, bathing, teeth, ears, and nails

Experience with cats:
~ common breeds including Ragdoll, Ragdoll mix, and British Shorthair
~ administering medication orally (tablet, liquid), topically, and by injection
~ kittens as young as 2 months, and elderly cats up to 20 years
~ "one-family/person" cats, shy cats, and those from a rescue or traumatic background

Experience with other animals:
~ birds in both an aviary and in-home setting including budgies, canaries, finches, quails, conures, cockatiels, poultry, pigeons
~ rats and mice
~ rabbits in both an indoor and outdoor setting
~ turtles and fish in both cold and warm water settings including betta fish, molluscs, live plants and associated tank/pond maintenance and cleaning

~ up to 30min visits 1x or 2x a day, visits up to 60min MUST be booked as 2x visits
~ visits can include a walk for no extra charge
~ additional animals are no extra charge
~ general housekeeping: collect mail, take out/bring in bins, water plants/gardens, etc.
~ a report after each visit and photos for your peace of mind
~ my work schedule is on a rotating roster so visits times may vary by day, and flexibility is a must
~ 2x visits are only accepted for Sunnynook and immediate areas

🏠 OVERNIGHT HOUSE SITTING AND DAY STAYS🏠
~ 24hr stay at your house, this service also includes visits that are OVER 60min long (day stays)
~ house sitting / day stays can include walks for no extra charge
~ additional animals are no extra charge
~ general housekeeping: collect mail, take out/bring in bins, water plants/gardens, etc.
~ a detailed report however many times you need throughout your trip and photos for your peace of mind
~ pet(s) must be comfortable with being alone for 4-6 hours during the day, and occasionally up to 7 hours
~ I require my significant other to also stay during the night
~ requests outside of the North Shore may incur an extra $15/night for expenses
