I am Nina, 28 years old and I am from the Netherlands. I grew up on a farm, always surrounded by dogs and cats. Back home in the Netherlands, I have a beautiful Main Coon with my sister, whom I miss terribly!
In the Netherlands, in addition to my full-time job as a social worker, I did pet-sitting. I walked dogs and visited cats and dogs to play with them and feed them. Some dogs I walked regurarly and with other pets I would just come by when needed, especially during the holidays. When I walk a dog, I take my time to go for a nice walk, even if the weather isn't great, I don't mind the rain. During the walk I like to give them attention for example by playing fetch. 
If I drop by to feed and or play with cats/dogs  I first wait to see what the pet's energy is like. Sometimes it takes a little longer to gain trust, and pets don't want to be petted by a stranger right away, but with patience, I hope to eventually break that habit!

I would love to be around more pets like cats and dogs here, in addition to my job as a divemaster, and to help owners where needed, so that the pets also get the attention they deserve!
