My wife and I love opening up our home to dogs! We aren't quite ready to have one of our own, as we would like to start a family first, so in the meantime taking care of your special furry friends is perfect for us! We absolutely love labs, retrievers, border collies, basically any medium to large friendly, playful pooch! We have a fully fenced home just a short stroll away from 2 amazing beaches in Devonport. One of us is always working from home so your pup will always be well cared for with constant company. We enjoy lots of walks, runs, beach time, and all sports, we are a very active household. Your pup would get at least two 40 minute walks a day if it's up to that. We have a vet nearby in case of emergencies and we do have experience taking dogs to the vet when small issues have occured. We are also happy to be in touch with your vet if ever needed. We have been looking after dogs regularly for over 5 years and have both owned dogs growing up during childhood and in our adult years. We have a lot of experience with medium to large dogs and have cared for over 30 dogs in our home over the last 5 years. We only ever accept one booking at a time, so your dog would not need to share our attention (unless you're booking 2 pups!). We have experience with long stays up to 2 months at a time and are more than happy to consider more long stays.We would only be comfortable looking after well socialised dogs that are not highly anxious.
