Hello!

🌱 I’m Alys, a reliable and caring house and pet sitter with experience looking after small furry and feathered friends, dogs, cats and even livestock. I'm great with house admin too and promise not to kill your plants!  

☀️ I live on the sunny North Shore of Auckland with my partner and our two cats Winston & Wally. I work in the city, but can work from home any two days a week.

🐱 Due to this, I tend to mostly book 'long weekend' stays - usually a max stay being Wed PM (after work) through to Tues PM - but occasionally open up for longer stays.

🐶 In my spare time I dabble in pottery at a local studio, am learning Mandarin, and volunteer for two rescues (Fur Paws Sake cat rescue and The Dog Rescue Project) supporting with social media, fundraising and events - and I have fostered more than 40 cats, kittens and dogs over the past 2+ years. This includes some super sick rescues so I have a lot of experience administering medication and supplying special diets etc. It also means I have experience working with dogs who are learning about the world around them and might need a little extra patience - eg. Walks in quieter spaces to avoid reactivity. I previously worked with The Dog Trust in the UK, helping to train their pups.
