January 26 UPDATE: We currently have space for weekday, casual doggie daycare (excluding Wednesday). We are not able to take on any regular doggie daycare bookings due to current work commitments but can take casual bookings. Do not book if you require guaranteed weekday availability as our work schedules can change at short notice. If we appear to be unavailable for dog boarding on any particular dates please feel free to message us as we may just be managing one or two of our more sensitive doggie daycare guests and can adjust our calendar/drop off & pick up times to suit. We are a very active family of 5 (including 3 teenagers) and just love spending time in the bush and at the beach with our two terriers Frankie and Loki. We offer a unique, family experience for your dog and you can work or enjoy your holiday knowing that your dog is being pampered, adored and well cared for. Jo & Paul (parents) both work from home, supervised by our fur buddies Frankie & Loki. Our teenagers, when not at school and uni are enthusiastically on board for doggie cuddles, walks and ball throwing at the park. Between the 5 of us, your dog will be constantly with loving humans except for the extremely rare occasion that we are all out on errands. Our Birkenhead backyard is fully fenced and large enough for games of chase and ball catching. We live surrounded by beautiful bush tracks, parks and of course the beach so your dog will get lots of variety in their daily walks & adventures. Don't be put off if your dog is older or less active as when they aren't running about, demanding balls to be thrown, Frankie and Loki can be found curled up in their bed or on someone's lap, they really know how to chill out! We believe that dogs are part of the family so nowhere in our home is off limits and your dog will sleep indoors in either a cosy dog bed or their crate if that is what they are used to. You will receive regular updates on your dog (daily or as frequently as you need), including photos and video, letting you know how they are doing and what fun they have been up to. As our work schedules are flexible, we can adapt our walk/run/play schedule to meet your dog's specific needs - if they need 2 walks per day, no problem! We are able to provide drop-in or walking services for dogs in the Kaipatiki area. We prefer smaller adult dogs (2years +) as our terriers can be a little overwhelmed by large or "enthusiastic" dogs but if your dog is large, old, or super calm with small dogs, please feel free to contact us for a chat. We may be able to take younger dogs (under 2 years) for weekends or short breaks when we are able to provide constant supervision (to keep your young & bouncy dog safe from grumpy terriers!) but may need to arrange a doggie meet up before confirming your booking. Jo is experienced at taking things slowly with timid or anxious dogs. Just tell us about your dog, what you need and we will be happy to help. If you require drop in cat feeding & pampering, our daughter is the family "cat whisperer" and can call by your home daily to feed, clean their litterbox & give puss some pampering.
