Kia ora! My name is Aya and I love animals and looking after them.

I am originally from Japan and have been living on Waiheke for over 10 years, and 16years total in Aotearoa / NZ. I have many experience looking after various types of animals - little as a mouse to big as cows!

I have looked after numbers of animals in the neighbourhood - mostly cats, dogs, and chickens. I also have volunteered at rooster park and The Animal Sanctuary, hens rescue and worked for WISCA as an animal advocate. All these experience have given me a lot of amazing times and I have learnt how to look after the animals properly. Recently I have looked after baby goats at the Sanctuary and planning another trip there to help them out.

I grow up with a lovely Shiba dog and currently living with chickens, one cat and a dog (can you tell I love animals?). They are all sweet and as me and my husband share the care of our babies, I definitely could use more time to spend with other animals! Call me greedy if you want! 

I can look after dogs, cats, birds, chickens of course, also goats, pigs, sheep, and even a cow if required;) Would love to care for horses if I ever have an opportunity ❤️

I am organised, punctual, friendly, ethical vegan, and a responsible person. I am also physically fit and an outdoor person so if a long walk is required for a dog friend, I'll be more than happy to take your friend(s) out.

Home visits - feeding, clean up (i.e. cats' toilet, chicken coop), playtime, cuddles 1h+ per visit.

Walks - 30 mins - 2 hrs depending on the animal(s) and as per request.

Sorry, can't do on boarding as our cat & dog needs their space at out house.

I will keep in touch with the animal parent while I'm looking after the animals. I usually send a photo or two every day to keep you updated.

I can administer medication to the animals and while you are away.

I'm available most of the week for morning and evening walks.

I am looking for more interaction with animals and by helping out Waiheke community & visitors. I'm would like to make more connections with people and the community.
