Hello My name is Michele Lennan.

I am 67 years old and live with my partner Topher and one of our sons Luke.

We live in Devonport close to beaches and lots of parks, all great for walking dogs.

I love all dogs but especially big ones.

We had a golden retriever Sam who died

two and a half years ago aged 15.

We were devastated as he was part of the family, going almost everywhere with us.

He especially liked the car as it meant HE was going somewhere.

His special place though was the beach, any beach but he had a great fondness for Cheltenham where we walked every morning where he had his own circle of friends to play with.

We often had the neighbours' dogs over to play and we had two couples with whom we had an arrangement of caring for each other's dogs when needed.

This, plus help from family, meant we never had to leave Sam in a strange kennel.

Since Sam died we've made changes to our lives and we now live on a sailboat for five months a year.

The boat is currently in Greece.

So we spend about seven months a year at home in Devonport.

While we'd love to have another dog it wouldn't be fair while we continue with this lifestyle.

That is why we'd love to look after other people's dogs for them when they are away on holidays.

Our house is fully fenced with a decent sized yard for dogs to play in.

Sam spent a lot of time inside and we're happy for any dogs we look after to do the same if that's normal for them.

No sleeping on beds though.

I work from home so am available most days and weekends.

We will be at home all through the summer and have no plans to go away at Christmas or other holiday weekends.

We will give your dog all the love and care we would give our own dog - lots of cuddles, great walks etc.

We would love the opportunity to care for your dog for you.
