Hello! 
I’m an experienced dog sitter, having had dog sat in Canada and now home in NZ. I LOVE all dogs and have taken care of senior and anxious and pups. 

I’ve got my own dog Benji, a 5year old very chill Covoodle. He is dog friendly and loves to share this toys with visiting pups. 
Benji is crate trained but your pup is welcome to sleep on the bed and cuddles on the couch are a definite! 

We love to go on adventures to local dog friendly areas, including the beach and bush. 

A 45-60mins off leash walk is part of the package, as well as many snuggles as your pup could want. 

I am able to distribute medication as needed.

I would have a max of 3 dogs at one time, including Benji and would ensure they are a good fit! 

I live in a  home with no children and Benji is the only pet. I have a big fully fenced garden, which the pups can have free access too. 

Meet and greets are essential. Your dog must be fully vaccinated and house trained.

My name is Iwona. I am a 37-year-old surgeon who has currently taken some time off from clinical work to improve my qualifications (so I would have more time to spoil your dogs or cats during housesitting :-) ). I am new to Pawshake but not new to petsitting :) (with references upon request️)
I decided now is a good moment for me to start petsitting regularly because I love dogs and cats so, so much! I currently work at Auckland City Hospital in a research role from 8 am to 4 pm, so I am available over the weekends (and during the week if your fur babies don't mind staying alone during the day). I'm an NZ permanent resident.
I love animals so much that it's impossible to express in words. My job doesn't allow me to have a pet of my own at this stage, but everyone around me knows how much I love animals and how much I love to take care of their pets when they go away, so I have a lot of experience in both dogsitting and catsitting (and I can provide many references). I used to have my own dog, an amazing Westie named Hocus Pocus, but sadly he passed away four years ago.Throughout my life, it has been the same, though—I always put animals first. If there is a pet around, I will spend all my time playing with them instead of talking to people If I’m allowed, I spoil pets a lot: letting them sleep with me, taking dogs absolutely everywhere with me, treating them not as pets but as friends, always thinking about them first—if they are comfortable, if they are happy. But I'm also very respectful of the owner's rules and preferences in raising their pets, so if you tell me your pet is not allowed to do something, I will fully follow your directions ️

I have always had a soft spot in my heart for animals of all shapes, sizes and personalities – Growing up I was that kid frequently bringing home injured or orphaned animals much to the dismay of my parents!&nbsp;
Having cared for cats, dogs, horses, chickens, sheep, cows, rabbits, goats, ducks, fish - I’ve never not had animals in my life and this subsequently manifested on a professional level where I have coordinated and wrangled horses and animals for film and television both here and overseas in the past. I still do this on a casual contract basis and really love any work I get to do with animals. 
I currently have a wee menagerie of my own, consisting of two senior cats, a very affectionate staffy cross lab dog (who loves to play with other friendly dogs), two horses and a flock of sheep plus chickens that I keep at a farm I manage.&nbsp;
 My services:&nbsp;
Residential Home visits – I will feed your cat or any other small animals you have (lifestyle blocks and farms also welcome, see below), give plenty of cuddles, playtime and/or grooming (on their terms of course!) administer any meds if required, top up water and feed bowls, clean litter trays, water plants, bring mail in and turn on/off lights etc. I provide updates and photos of your fur babies every visit and let you know if anything else catches my attention or if I spot anything of concern.&nbsp;
Lifestyle blocks/Farms – I can carry out the above as I do for normal residential households, plus feed out to any stock you have, check water troughs, rotate animals to new paddocks or move electric tape if needed, make sure no one has escaped through any fences, carry out visual checks for health issues or injuries, fly strike, etc. I am also competent driving a quad bike if required.&nbsp;Please send me a message regarding pricing for this, as I can do a package discount for multiple animals. 
Dog boarding/Day outings for younger or higher energy dogs – I can offer overnight dog stays/day outings on a case-by-case basis at my place. Best suited to dogs happy to have a good play with my own dog and are respectful with cats, plus must not have a high prey drive with farm stock as I take them out to the farm for exercise, which I find they love as it’s essentially one massive private dog park for them to run around and play at. Dogs must be up to date with flea treatments and vaccinations.

Dog walking for older/lower energy dogs – If you have a dog with lower energy levels or who is a bit older in their golden years, I can come by and take them out on a local 30 minute walk at a pace that suits them.&nbsp;

Hi, my name is Paige and I am a dog lover. 
My partner and I have a 2 year old Cavoodle called Maple, who is our baby and whom we just adore. Myself and my partner are both very active and take our Maple on daily walks, whether that be around the block, to the beach or to the park. We have a large, fully fenced backyard with high fences and plenty of room for dogs to run around safely. Our house has plenty of room for dogs to roam in and our fully fenced backyard has plenty of space for dogs to play. I can do short or long term stays, plus dog sitting for the day on the days I work from home. Happy to provide walks and any special care your dog may need. 
Maple is very sweet natured and friendly with all dogs, however we are able to separate our backyard if need be. Maple sleeps with us in our room on the floor in her bed and comes up in the morning for cuddles. We don’t have children or any other pets. Maple loves meeting new dogs and playing with them, however she is quite shy, so no aggressive dogs are welcome. 
I work from home 3-4 days a week, which is flexible, so I can be home for supervision.

We have a few pets ourselves: a little 13 yr old pomeranian X papillon dog named Star (Little Bear), and 16 beautiful chickens. We are frequently visited by wild doves that have kind of become our pets too! As a family we love adventure, nature, healthy living, music, animals, books, creativity &amp; philosophy. We are hoping to own a farm very soon so that we can own lots more animals and enjoy the beauty of nature. She likes to chase tennis balls, and she especially likes anything tiny and round; even in her old age I've seen her play with guavas, peas, and tiny pinecones - rolling on them and throwing them up in the air with her nose and paws. She tends to be a sensitive soul and usually takes a little time to warm up to new people and creatures, but once she's finished analyzing them she treats them as part of the family. Star brings us much joy and we love having her in our family!


Hi, I'm Mandy, new to this page. During holidays I have some free time (I'm a teacher) to pet sit or look after your special animal companion. Then after it would be weekends and some Thurs/Fridays when I work from home.  As I have a small dog myself, would prefer to look after dogs only.  They can be medium-sized dogs but breed dependent.  My dog: Winston Paws is a Bichon poodle Cavalier, he is 8 years old and recently trained as a St Johns therapy dog. He enjoys playing with other dogs (as long as he can tell them that they need to follow his rules ) See #mrwpaws on insta.
Overnight stay and day stay dogs will also get at least a 1 hour walk in a local park, lots of human time, plays and rests. My house is dog friendly, with outside and inside play spaces.  Outside is fully fenced with artificial grass areas, cobblestones and digging spaces.  Inside, dogs are generally allowed on beds and couches.I have no children so your dog will get lots of attention and I'm happy to send you regular updates/pics if required. It is important that your dog is  vaccinated, deflea-ed, toilet trained and socialised.

Hi I'm Hannah! I'm 19. I'm a first year psychology and english major at University of Auckland and work part time retail at Bed Bath and Table during the weekends. 
I have two boxers, Bailey and Winston, two cats - socks and Mr pim, and two frogs! I've also had several rabbits and mice throughout my childhood. I absolutely love animals, their cuteness and awesome personalities.&nbsp;
We live in a lovely area with lots of space, parks, beach and more. Our favourite place to take our dogs is a dog beach in huia, but if we're not feeling like a drive, our neighbourhood has lots of short walks and open field parks for our furry friends to go wild!
I'm also going to Europe in July for 6 months! So this is not only something that is a great interest of mine, it would also be very beneficial for my upcoming trip. Being a full-time student is very difficult to find time to work especially doing something I would enjoy which is why is opportunity would be awesome and motivating for me. 
I have experience for doing small jobs like looking after neighbours and friends pets, like cat sitting for family friends, feeding neighbourhood cats and dogs, however the most obvious being that I've been looking after my own pets for years! For example; training, feeding, walking, and grooming our big pups. 

I am available as a sitter all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Some odd days I will have free especially during my mid semester break.

Hi my name is Tanya and I am 31 years old. I live with my husband and my 2 teenagers aged 17 and 15 out west in Green Bay. I have a 12 year old Lowchen named Spike who is a bit of a grouchy old dog now. I also have a 3 year old Labradoodle who absolutely loves everything and everyone. I have always loved dogs (some people would even say I am a bit obsessed with dogs) and ever since I was little I have wanted to have a dog of my own. Your dog will be well looked after as we have a lot of people to love him/her and give lots of kisses and cuddles. I tend to use the weekends to take the dogs to Kakamatua Beach or other dog friendly parks. Your dog ofcourse would be welcome on our trips as well and I know our Labradoodle would enjoy some company as well. When we are in the house your pooch will have the free space to roam around and play (both inside and out). We can provide food for your dog (at an extra cost) or you can drop off your treats and foods with your pooch. We ask that you also drop off comfort things along with your dog because we understand and know that it is not an easy time for your dog child to be without you either. We would only be able to take dogs who are good with kids and other dogs. At the moment our availability is weekends (including long weekends and Public Holidays) and weeknights if you need a dog sitter for a couple of hours. However I do have some requirements: your dog must be vaccinated, toilet trained and flea treated and your dog must be social and not have separation anxiety. I work as a researcher in Animal Computer Interaction, which does not mean I think computers are the solution. I do really love working with activation and enrichment and helping animals live their best lives. For this, lots of tangible objects are involved along with careful observation of interactions. As well, I do some research work with zoo animals and types of useful monitoring technologies to detect situations that are difficult for the animals. I am always changing up activations for my own Kleiner Münsterländer (an active hunter, even at 11 years) dog and garden-rescue cat.&nbsp;
I am happy to do home visits and also to dog walk and play with your animals. My sessions would be for at least 30 minutes per animal. I can walk and home visit locally in New Lynn and surrounding areas as well as I am in the city most days at the gym and the office (AUT, Head of Research for School of Future Environments) and as you would need me to be. I would call in on the animals on the way to and from the workplace and the gym. I can provide oral medications and some walking and play training. I can walk up to 2 dogs daily and do up to 2 home visits.  I have a large fully-fenced backyard. I have been researching and working with companion animals since 2011 and we've always had cats n' dogs in the family. I am told I have a rapport with animals and they are drawn to me. I'm certainly very happy hanging out with and being around animals. And they seem to reciprocate. I don't agree with any aversive methods of training or animal care. Animal Welfare and quality of life are very important to me, so I prefer you would provide a harness to walk your dog. I am a strong advocate for 'Do No Harm Dog Training' and am happy to work with your dog with positive training methods to achieve this.&nbsp;
