Matt and I love dogs! 
We would love to open up our home to a family pet in need of a short term place to stay and looking to be well looked after and loved like one of our family.&nbsp;

Our experience is 16 years of looking after a cocker spaniel named Jake. He got walked twice a day and taken on regular adventures. We loved him dearly. We also have regularly looked after our friend's dogs. 

We would only take one dog at a time or two from the same family to ensure the best care possible. 

We believe in lots of cuddles and outdoor activities for the furry one - if that's what they like. 

Our house is right on a few bush walks in karori and close to a dog park which makes that easy for us. We have a caged boot in our car cushioned out for travel, but would most likely walk to most places. 
We would follow the routine you have already set as a doggy parent to hopefully help them be as little disrupted as possible. 
We also have lots of experience with administering medicines as our dog needed them daily when he got older  

Please note. We have a very sweet girl who is gentle and caring when it comes to animals. So any dog we take would have to be ok around kids - although we wouldn't leave either of them unsupervised.&nbsp;

It is a BIG deal leaving your fur baby with someone. So it'll be important for us that we chat to make sure we are the right fit. Feel free to reach out and ask any questions and if you would like an introduction beforehand then that's more than ok with us. 

I'm a 30 year old woman from Scotland now living in Hataitai, Wellington. I work part-time and am looking to utilise my spare time and love of animals by helping you take care of your beloved pets!
I grew up on a farm in the remote islands of Orkney. From a young age, I've helped raise and tend to animals. During my time in New Zealand, I've had the pleasure of Woofing across the North and South Island. I provided live-in housetting and dogsitting for several people around Tauranga, as well as dog walking in Havelock and taking care of chickens and ducks in Alexandra. I'm available mornings and afternoons during the Mon-Fri.&nbsp;
I offer dog walking and sitting and have experience with basic training and administering medication. If you have a preferred area to walk your dog, just let me know. Otherwise I will aim to take your dog to a quiet open area. 
I have experience with anxious dogs and can discuss this with you to see if I'd be the right fit for your pet.
I offer day home visits for up to 2 hours, but can accept longer periods if discussed in advance. I'm also happy to check on plants and do minor tasks if staying for a longer period of time. I will ensure all doors are secured before leaving your home.
Leaving your pet alone or with strangers can cause anxiety for you and your pet. I want to provide reassurance to you and a comforting environment for your pet, while allowing me the fulfillment of spending time with and caring for animals.
