I am a qualified ECE (Early Childhood Education) kaiako with a toddler. 
I have always loved kararehe (animals) and adore kuri (dogs). 
Knowing how Tyche (my Pomeranian) feels at times when left at home while I do my mahi, I wanted to provide others with the option for their fur babies to have an adventure. Or get out of the house while their humans are busy. 
I work part time teaching in ECE and Primary and want to do more work from home, as well as build up my fitness again, so thought puppy dates would be the perfect way to achieve both goals. 
At times I help organisations with rescues and caring for puppies before they join their foster families, however your fur baby will always be safe and you will be informed if it happens on your booked days.

Hi, I'm Gigi. I recently moved from Christchurch to Auckland and I’m excited to continue caring for pets here. While living in Christchurch, I looked after three cats for my neighbours, and that experience inspired me to become a pet sitter. Spending time with them showed me how rewarding it is to help pets feel safe and comfortable when their owners are away.

I’m also a proud cat owner myself. In my home country, I have five British Shorthair cats who are very loved and well cared for. They enjoy a happy and comfortable life, and my family is currently taking care of them while I’m in New Zealand. Being a cat owner has taught me a lot about their personalities, routines, and the attention they need to stay healthy and happy.

I always follow owners’ instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, medication if needed, and any special routines your pet may have. I understand that every pet has their own personality—some love to play and interact, while others prefer quiet company and a calm environment. I’m happy to adapt to what makes your pet feel most relaxed and secure.

I know how important it is for pet owners to feel confident that their pets are safe, happy, and well cared for while they’re away. Pets can be sensitive to changes in their environment or routine, so I focus on providing gentle, patient care in their familiar space. Animal lover with a big heart, friendly &amp; warm natured person that doesn't take life too seriously but does take cleaning serious so your home will be in great hands and so will your pets if they stay with me! My work life is mainly from home and part time running my small cleaning business so I am able to be around majority of the day and only need to pop out a few hours a day (happy to chat more in detail about this) 
EXPERIENCE 
Dogs &amp; cat owner  comfortable with all breeds, sizes and ages. (My dogs don't come with me on sits but I would love if one of them could come along with me if allowed with a meet &amp; greet first of course) otherwise it's no problem at all if not I totally understand. Comfortable with administering medication. My dog has afew health issues which she is on long term that I have to administer twice a day. I have a background in rescue, rehabilitation, rehoming and also fostering dogs and as most would know they come with colourful &amp; quirky personalities and behaviours and require someone with patience, unlimited love and time to encourage and help them become the happy dog they long to be so I've learnt a lot and can read dogs body language very well. 
OWNERS HOME
 - All instructions followed &amp; home respected and looked after. Non smoker / non drinker. Lots of love, adventures and car rides with permission of course and your home left immaculate when you arrive back.
MY HOME
 2 dogs are welcome at a time (alongside my 2 at home who are good with all) meet &amp; greets are a must to ensure all doggies get along well.
*Full fenced yard safe &amp; secure, high fences, gated and locked on both sides of yard, outdoor deck and lots of space to sunbathe, a seperate gated area for dogs to play and be seperate (if needed) otherwise gate stays open, open grass area to toilet and run around, dogs sleep indoors and get there own area &amp; space to relax in my room, there is multiple beds and an open crate for options, x2 fans and cooling mats for summer and a heater and extra dog blankets for winter, when dogs aren't sleeping they have free range to roam within my home. Plenty of spaces in the home where dogs can relax we leave that door open always if not raining. 

Dogs must be toilet trained &amp; have basic manners/commands 
If you're dog is not good on walks in public weather that be because of reactivity to people or other dogs that's no problem, all information to help me help them enjoy a walk without issues or just a brief how to deal with the situation to upkeep what you do etc otherwise I have a big enough yard for fetch and runs so they don't have to leave the property at all.

I've never not had a dog since the day I was born - from Bernese mountain dog, German shepard to now 2 mini schnauzers, one of which is elderly. I've also grown up with many cats, fish, frogs etc 
I have also always owned and competed horses (eventing). I have been a groom for a top event rider for many years and have experience with sick and injured horses and other animals. 
I have lived on a lifestyle block with sheep, goats, cats, pet ducks, dogs etc and done many farm sits looking after the mentioned as well donkeys and chickens.

I work from home most of the time so this means I am flexible to offer help in the morning or the evening. I can offer to give medication and basic grooming (brushing, washing etc). I can also do 2 visits a day to feed your cat (or fish or whatever you have!) I am also happy to water plants or check mail! I'm also happy to do day visits to let your dog or puppy out and have some interaction and play time! For one visit I can spend up to 30 minutes or two 20 minute visits. 

Dog walking I can do from 30 minutes to 45 minutes. Around your suburb or somewhere local to me (Cornwall park)
