Top cities for doggy day care in New Zealand

For pet parents, one of the hardest things about going to work each day is wondering what your dog will get up to while you are gone. At Pawshake, we understand that dogs need activity and interaction during the day, so why not book your dog with one of our trusted sitters in Silverdale for a home day care service? You can drop your dog off at the sitter’s home on the way to work or organise with your local Silverdale Pawshake sitter to pick up and drop off your dog for you.

Pet day care is a great way to keep your dog mentally and physically active during the day so that you can come home to a happy, relaxed dog. Pawshake’s home day care service is great for young dogs who need constant supervision: puppy daycare allows your pup to maintain a consistent routine, which is important during the toilet training process. It’s also a great option for dogs who need extra care and attention, or those who are extra active.

Our sitters who offer home day care and puppy daycare services are more adaptable than your average big day care centre. Numbers are kept small and some Pawshake sitters will only take in one dog at a time. This means they can work around your timing and any special requirements your dog may have. So, let your four-legged best friend enjoy their day with a fun and loving Silverdale sitter who will shower them with love and dedicated attention. On top of that, you will also get photos and updates during the day so that you can follow your dog’s day care adventures!

Every day care booking also comes included with The Pawshake Guarantee, which includes veterinary coverage, customer service support 7 days a week and more.

I'm Briana, and I'm an experienced dog handler and pet sitter on the Hibiscus Coast.

I run pet sitting out of my fully fenced home in Stanmore Bay, run home based doggy daycare, and do daily dog walking through out the Hibiscus Coast. I also hold a current pet first aid certificate.

I welcome your dog to my house for over night pet sitting. I let the dogs do as they please, they're aloud on the couches, on the beds, etc, as if they were at home. I like to call it a staycation for them! My home is their home while they're here.

I also do dog walking during the day, if you need so too. I do pack walks of around 5-9 dogs, or if you prefer 1 on 1 walking for your dog I also offer that.

If you have a busy day and your dog needs somewhere to stay for the day, l also offer day stays (daycare) with no time frame. Being a home environment it's not too over stimulating and over whelming for the dogs. It's nice and calm, but also fun!

If you need your cat/dog/chickens/birds/rabbits to be fed whilst your away I'm more then happy to do day visits of either once or twice a day.

I have experience of all shapes and sizes of dogs, old, young, anxious and high energy.

I have a big love for all animals. I have two French bulldogs who are 4 and 5, so l am extremely experienced in the brachycephalic breeds, with their breathing and needs.

I give the exact care I'd want someone to give to my boys if someone was minding them. I know how important fur babies are, because my two boys are my world

If you have any queries please feel free to message me

Hi, I'm Janelle.
I'm currently studying Animal Science with a major in Animal Welfare and have a strong interest in providing kind, personalised care for every pet I look after. I understand that each animal has their own personality, routine, and comfort levels, and I always aim to make them feel safe, settled, and genuinely cared for while their owners are away.
I provide care for both dogs and cats in Mahurangi West. Whether your pet needs feeding, fresh water, playtime, walks, companionship, basic medication, or simply a reassuring presence, I'm happy to tailor my care to suit their needs. Living close to the beach also provides plenty of opportunities for enriching walks and outdoor time for pets that enjoy exploring.
My home has open space and a calm environment, and I work hard to maintain routines that help animals feel comfortable. I have two resident cats, however there is a secure separate area available for pets that prefer their own space. I'm also happy to discuss any special requirements before booking.
I look forward to meeting your furry friend!!

Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve grown up around all kinds of pets, so I understand the care, patience, and attention they need to feel happy and comfortable.
I carefully follow feeding schedules and I'm happy to administer medication with clear instructions from owners. I know how important consistency is for pets. I love spending quality time with animals, whether that’s playing or simply keeping them company so they feel relaxed and at home.
I work from home so I'll stick as closely as possible to their usual routine. Whether your dog enjoys several long walks or just a few shorter ones each day, I’m happy to adapt to their individual needs and your preferences.
As a former pet owner myself, I know how nerve-wracking it can be to leave your pet in someone else’s care. That’s why I do everything I can to make the experience as stress free as possible not just for your pet, but for you too. I’ll keep you updated with regular photos, videos, and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, comfortable, and in good hands.
I’ve been pet sitting for many years in both Spain and Ireland, caring for pets with different ages, and needs. Since I spend most of my time at home, pets in my care won't be left alone and will have constant supervision. I’m able to provide plenty of attention, companionship, and care throughout the day, so your pet will never feel lonely.

Hi my name is Flick, I am a fur pawent to two, stafxLab, litter mates from a rescue. I have worked at a large daycare, an emergency vet clinic, as a puppy trainer, and as a dog walker. I've been working with dogs for four years now and have never felt as fulfilled. Ive had dogs, and other animals, all my life and have a real passion for them. I want nothing but the best for every animal I meet and will go out of my way to make sure that happens.
At Sniffari Co. & Flicks Creature Comforts, I believe every pet deserves a life full of joy, comfort, and tail-wagging fun. Whether it’s a scenic walk, an enriching training session, a cozy home stay, or simply a nourishing mealtime, I treat your pets like my own—with love, attention, and respect. Trust me to make every day a pawsome adventure for your four-legged family members.

A Loving Home with a Friendly Lab & a Toddler Who Adores Dogs

Hi there! I’ve been surrounded by dogs for as long as I can remember, and I genuinely couldn’t imagine life without them. Growing up, dogs were always part of the family—there was never a day without wagging tails and muddy pawprints. Now as a parent, I’ve made sure my daughter, who is nearly three, gets to grow up in that same joyful environment.

Our dog Buddy is a friendly black Lab who greets every living creature like an old friend—whether it’s a tiny kitten, a bouncy puppy, or a baby in a stroller. He’s gentle, calm, and always eager to share his toys (and maybe his snacks). The same goes for my daughter—she’s been around dogs since birth and is completely comfortable with them, no matter their size. She knows to be gentle and respectful, and I supervise all interactions closely.

We’re a small family with big hearts and an even bigger backyard that's fully fenced. I’m motivated to be a pet sitter because I truly believe pets are happiest when they’re cared for in a home filled with warmth, familiarity, and love. Whether it’s belly rubs, games of fetch, or quiet cuddles, I’ll make sure your pet feels safe and part of the family.

Yes, I do prefer that pets are up to date with vaccinations—just to keep everyone healthy and happy. I’m flexible, responsible, and always treat pets like they’re my own.

We provide Day care, boarding and dog walking services :)

Looking forward to meeting your furry friend soon!

Hi, we're Emilie and Jamie. We are a professional couple who frequently work from home and can be available on weekends, meaning your pup will rarely, if ever, be left alone when we are able to coordinate care days. One these days care can be for as short or long as needed, whether it be a few hours or full day, we can flex to suit.
We recently lost our own beloved doggo Alfie after 11 wonderful years together and find ourselves with a quiet home and a huge shortage of belly rubs to give. Our pet experience includes family cats growing up and being passionate first time dog parents, who learned through research (Emilie has a Masters in Psychology and became interested in delving into the dog care literature) and 11 years care experience with Alfie. Becoming "Auntie and Uncle" to your furry family member brings joy back into our space while giving you total peace of mind.We are absolute believers in positive, force-free care. Every interaction we have with your pet is rooted in patience, encouragement, and understanding of their unique needs. Whether they want to join us for a relaxed lunchtime stroll, sniff every single blade of grass at their own pace, or simply curl up next to our desks for a snooze, your pup dictates the day.
Your dog is welcome to hang next to us on a cozy bed while we work, relax in a sunny spot on inside or the deck, or choose their own favourite place to be. Our home does include stairs, so pets who struggle with stairs and can't be carried up may not suit the home set up.
We have a medium sized, fully fenced backyard space and are very safety conscious, so regular toilet and sniff trips outside are just part of the routine and help us remember to take a break too! Happy to administer any medication needed and we provide treats was long as allowed by your pets dietary needs.
Your dog or pet will be treated like a treasured member of our own family. They will enjoy full couch and bed privileges (if they are allowed!) and endless gentle attention and love.
