For pet parents, one of the hardest things about going to work each day is wondering what your dog will get up to while you are gone. At Pawshake, we understand that dogs need activity and interaction during the day, so why not book your dog with one of our trusted sitters in Red Beach for a home day care service? You can drop your dog off at the sitter’s home on the way to work or organise with your local Red Beach Pawshake sitter to pick up and drop off your dog for you.

Pet day care is a great way to keep your dog mentally and physically active during the day so that you can come home to a happy, relaxed dog. Pawshake’s home day care service is great for young dogs who need constant supervision: puppy daycare allows your pup to maintain a consistent routine, which is important during the toilet training process. It’s also a great option for dogs who need extra care and attention, or those who are extra active.

Our sitters who offer home day care and puppy daycare services are more adaptable than your average big day care centre. Numbers are kept small and some Pawshake sitters will only take in one dog at a time. This means they can work around your timing and any special requirements your dog may have. So, let your four-legged best friend enjoy their day with a fun and loving Red Beach sitter who will shower them with love and dedicated attention. On top of that, you will also get photos and updates during the day so that you can follow your dog’s day care adventures!

Every day care booking also comes included with The Pawshake Guarantee, which includes veterinary coverage, customer service support 7 days a week and more.

Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve grown up around all kinds of pets, so I understand the care, patience, and attention they need to feel happy and comfortable.
I carefully follow feeding schedules and I'm happy to administer medication with clear instructions from owners. I know how important consistency is for pets. I love spending quality time with animals, whether that’s playing or simply keeping them company so they feel relaxed and at home.
I work from home so I'll stick as closely as possible to their usual routine. Whether your dog enjoys several long walks or just a few shorter ones each day, I’m happy to adapt to their individual needs and your preferences.
As a former pet owner myself, I know how nerve-wracking it can be to leave your pet in someone else’s care. That’s why I do everything I can to make the experience as stress free as possible not just for your pet, but for you too. I’ll keep you updated with regular photos, videos, and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, comfortable, and in good hands.
I’ve been pet sitting for many years in both Spain and Ireland, caring for pets with different ages, and needs. Since I spend most of my time at home, pets in my care won't be left alone and will have constant supervision. I’m able to provide plenty of attention, companionship, and care throughout the day, so your pet will never feel lonely.

Hello!
I’m Alys, a reliable and caring house and pet sitter with experience looking after small furry and feathered friends, dogs, cats and even livestock. I'm great with house admin too and promise not to kill your plants!
️ I live on the sunny North Shore of Auckland with my partner and our two cats Winston & Wally. I work in the city, but can work from home any two days a week.
Due to this, I tend to mostly book 'long weekend' stays - usually a max stay being Wed PM (after work) through to Tues PM - but occasionally open up for longer stays.
In my spare time I dabble in pottery at a local studio, am learning Mandarin, and volunteer for two rescues (Fur Paws Sake cat rescue and The Dog Rescue Project) supporting with social media, fundraising and events - and I have fostered more than 40 cats, kittens and dogs over the past 2+ years. This includes some super sick rescues so I have a lot of experience administering medication and supplying special diets etc. It also means I have experience working with dogs who are learning about the world around them and might need a little extra patience - eg. Walks in quieter spaces to avoid reactivity. I previously worked with The Dog Trust in the UK, helping to train their pups.
I love photography so you'll receive plenty of updates from me while you're away, so you can see how much fun they are having!!
I'm new to Pawshake but not to house and pet sitting, so if you'd like some references please let me know and I'd be happy to provide you with some.

Hi there!
We are a small, loving dog family based in North Shore, Auckland.
At Fluffy Fam, your dog won’t just be “boarded” — they’ll be treated like part of our family.
I’m an experienced dog owner (our little princess Lele is a Maltese-Corgi mix ), and I understand how important it is to leave your fur baby somewhere safe, calm and genuinely caring.

What we offer:
Warm, home environment – no cages
Daily walks (beach or neighbourhood depending on weather)
Plenty of cuddles and supervision
Photo & video updates for peace of mind
Suitable for small to medium, well-socialised dogs
Your dog will stay indoors with us, relax in a clean and cosy space, and receive lots of attention.

Why choose us?
• No overcrowding – we take limited dogs only
• Genuine love for animals
• Responsible and attentive care
• We understand separation anxiety and gentle handling
We prefer vaccinated dogs with good temperament and house-trained habits

Hi
I’m Sarah, and together with my partner, we’re loving life in Orewa—especially our beach walks with our cheeky one-year-old miniature dachshund, Douglas. We’d be thrilled to welcome your pooch into our home for some fun playdates and beach walks! We have a fully fenced safe home
Working from home gives me plenty of flexibility to provide attentive care, I take Doug for beach walks so your dog can join me and this is a pawsome chance for Douglas to build his social skills. He’s fully trained, vaccinated, and social, and gets along great with other dogs. I would take no more than 1 dog at a time currently so I can provide supervised care
With five years of dog-sitting experience, I am passionate animal lovers who treat every pet like our own. We prioritise a safe, loving environment, so we’re seeking vaccinated, toilet-trained dogs only at this time.
Please bring the food required for your dogs stay. Let me know in advance if your dog has any behavioural issues I should know about. Let’s arrange a meet-and-greet to see if we’re a good match
Feel free to message anytime—your furry friend deserves the best!
Looking forward to hearing from soon
Sarah

A Loving Home with a Friendly Lab & a Toddler Who Adores Dogs

Hi there! I’ve been surrounded by dogs for as long as I can remember, and I genuinely couldn’t imagine life without them. Growing up, dogs were always part of the family—there was never a day without wagging tails and muddy pawprints. Now as a parent, I’ve made sure my daughter, who is nearly three, gets to grow up in that same joyful environment.

Our dog Buddy is a friendly black Lab who greets every living creature like an old friend—whether it’s a tiny kitten, a bouncy puppy, or a baby in a stroller. He’s gentle, calm, and always eager to share his toys (and maybe his snacks). The same goes for my daughter—she’s been around dogs since birth and is completely comfortable with them, no matter their size. She knows to be gentle and respectful, and I supervise all interactions closely.

We’re a small family with big hearts and an even bigger backyard that's fully fenced. I’m motivated to be a pet sitter because I truly believe pets are happiest when they’re cared for in a home filled with warmth, familiarity, and love. Whether it’s belly rubs, games of fetch, or quiet cuddles, I’ll make sure your pet feels safe and part of the family.

Yes, I do prefer that pets are up to date with vaccinations—just to keep everyone healthy and happy. I’m flexible, responsible, and always treat pets like they’re my own.

We provide Day care, boarding and dog walking services :)

Looking forward to meeting your furry friend soon!

Travel expenses can be discussed and negotiated based on distance.
I’ve grown up around a wide range of animals, from dogs, cats, birds to bunnies, guinea pigs, horses and reptiles. This has given me the confidence to adapt to different personalities, energy levels, and care requirements. I genuinely enjoy being around animals and take care to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and well looked after while their owners are away.
I naturally match each animal’s energy - remaining calm and patient with anxious or lower-energy pets, while being more engaging and energetic with those that need stimulation. I place a strong focus on creating a low-stress environment, helping pets feel settled whether they are adjusting to a new space or simply missing their usual routine and people.
I’m reliable, attentive, and spend a lot of time at home when caring for pets, so they are not left alone for extended periods. For dogs that enjoy outings, I’m happy to take them to parks or the beach where appropriate.
I follow all care instructions closely and am happy to provide updates as often as you’d like. I also send photos, whether they’re out exploring, being playful, or simply relaxing.
I take the responsibility of caring for someone else’s pet very seriously and aim to provide a calm, consistent, and trustworthy experience.
I do have a cat at home who is comfortable around other animals, as she has been raised around majority of the pets I previously mentioned.

Hi, I'm Tori. I left my corporate job to take a proper break, and it's given me the time to do more of what I genuinely love — spending my days with dogs. I live close to a local park and a short drive to an off leash park, and my home has a fenced backyard, so there's plenty of space for a dog to run around, sniff, and just be a dog throughout the day.
My own dog, Rosie, a toy poodle who's almost one, has been my main hands-on experience. She's smart, confident, and gets along easily with both people and other dogs, which has made it fun to socialise her and figure out what keeps a small dog happy and settled. I've spent this past year working through training with her (focus, attention, and scent work) and learning what it actually takes to look after a small dog well day to day. This isn't a side hustle for me; it's something I genuinely care about and want to keep doing.
I'm most comfortable with small dogs and puppies, given my own setup and experience — think toy and small breeds, calm-to-confident temperaments, dogs that are okay around one other small dog. I don't currently take large or giant breeds, dogs with aggression history, since my space and experience are geared toward smaller companions.
A few practical notes: my home is a smoke-free, quiet household with a fenced yard (no pool). I'm generally available during work days, and I ask for a quick meet-and-greet before the first booking so your dog and Rosie can get comfortable with each other first.
