I adore dogs and young puppies and horses because they are great companions and always put a smile on my face. I am guaranteed to provide excellent care for all animals at all times! I love to walk dogs so they are healthy and happy and I offer this service currently any day of the week. I will ensure your dog gets great exercise and fresh air in different regions of Dunedin and varied terrain, including parks and hill areas like the Dunedin green belt. I am definitely open to suggestions about where to walk your dog. And I can personally guarantee that your dog will remain super safe with me as I will be very cautious and vigilant on busy roads and intersections to avoid any roadway hazards.
I have previous experience with animals. I used to go horse-riding a lot, and always made sure to feed my horse carrots and sing to them while grooming their manes, so they would get to like me and enjoy riding with me too. My first pet was actually a budgie, though, whose name was Tweety. Tweety always loved flying around the house and eating bird seeds. I cared for him well and he sang freely for our enjoyment. In addition, sometimes I do visit the local SPCA and volunteer as a dog walker, as I unfortunately haven't had the chance to own my own dog yet due to travelling commitments. But I do have previous experience walking dogs.

Hi! I've worked in pet care for many years, and have just moved to Dunedin!  
I am an animal care professional with experience working with lots of different species. I’ve been a pet carer since the beginning of 2019, however I have worked and volunteered at a variety of animal sanctuaries and zoos for the last 6 years. I also hold a level 3 diploma in animal management and am DBS (criminal record) checked for your peace of mind. Because of this I am not limited to just cats and dogs. If you have any other pets, such as parrots, hamsters, snakes or stick insects that need to be cared for drop me a message to discuss it further! I absolutely love getting to know your furbabies, their likes and dislikes; good (and bad!) habits, and particularly enjoy continuing training that you may already be doing with them. I tailor each booking to both the pets needs and the owners wishes, whether you have a cat that likes to be left to their own devices, or a dog who loves running around and playing with other dog friends! After each booking I’ll send at least one photo of your pet and a short description of what we got up to, any changes in behaviour, new friends made, or anything else of note.  Any cats and dogs must be vaccinated.
Dog walking
Dog walks can be 30 minutes and upwards. They can be on lead, off lead, and always involve lots of cuddles and fun!
Drop in visits
Drop in visits are great for cats, small pets, or even if your dog just needs a playtime while you're at work. They can involve a playtime, pee break, litter tray or enclosure cleaning and more! It's up to you. I'll even take your bins out if you're away!&nbsp;

I have always loved being around animals, and dogs have been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up surrounded by dogs, cats, and even horses, so caring for animals has always felt very natural to me. Over the years I’ve owned several dogs, including a rescue dog, which gave me valuable experience in understanding different behaviours, personalities, and needs.
These days, I have a little sausage dog Rocky who enjoys his daily walks, and I’d love to share those walks with other dogs who need some exercise, company, and care while their owners are busy. Animals including pets have always been apart of my life with my family taking care sorts of animals around including dogs, cats and rabbits. We are the sort of family to rescure cats of the street and nuture birds until they were strong enough to fly away. Becuase of this I have always been confortable and happiest around animals partcularly dogs and cats.&nbsp;
I moved from Indoensia to NZ with I was just 13 years old which is when we adpoted my cat Bean which is the star of most of my pictures. Unfortunately, now we live seperatly because I flat and study, which also makes my schedule flexable. I am intrested in pet sitting and taking care of animals because this is something that been my normal. As a big softy, best believe that while your pets are in my care they will get nothing by love and attention.&nbsp;
Services I offer: 
Dog walking: I am comfortable at taking any size of pet on walk and I am happy to tailor my walks to whatever your pet needs/enjoys. Any toys required during walks will not be supplied  I charge $18.50 for a 30 minute walk.
House visits: I am able to come to your house to look after you pet, make sure they get the proper care need. I am happy to stay for up to an hour, giving your pet lots of attention or playtime aswell as feed them.

My name is Sonja and I moved to Dunedin from Canada over a year ago. I grew up with a dog, a wee mini labradoodle failed guide dog. She was a sweet, silly, and extremely smart little dog. She failed at guide dog school due to her anxiety, thus I have some experience with anxious pups. Unfortunately, the poor dear passed away a couple years ago.&nbsp;
As any animal lover, I've been waiting for years to get a pup of my own. But as someone who moves around the world for school, as well as being a travel lover, I have not yet been stable enough to offer an animal the life it deserves. Thus, I'm hoping to pour my love into your animals! Every time I see a wee dog on the street or cat in the window, my heart just swells.&nbsp;
