I'm a 26 year old working professional. I work and live in Dunedin as a builder and music tech. 
I'm a sucker for animals, and a bit of a softy. I have grown up with dogs, cats, rabbits, goats, and fish. 
I also have two cats of my own (Podge and Bear), who are the best. 
I work 8am-5pm Monday-Friday, but outside of these hours I would love to spend some more time with animals and take care of them while you are on holiday or working. I am happy to dog walk (I have owned big dogs, and am comfortable with them), feed your pets, or do house visits to check in on them while you are away. I have two animals at my own house, so I can't look after them here, but I can come to your house to pet sit.

Hi, my name is Melvina and I am 21 years old. I am currently a third year studying a Bachelor of Science majoring in Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Otago. 
I love animals and have grown up around cats, dogs and bunnies! Unfortunately, since I'm flatting we are not allowed pets of our own. So I'd greatly appreciate the chance to spend time with your furry friends while you're away and get my daily dose of cuteness! 
I am available mostly in the evenings as I have uni and in the weekends. I am available for various pet care services, including cat sitting, dog walking and home visits. I can provide 30 minutes to 1 hour walks and do home visits to check up on your pets. During the home visits I can feed your pets and play with them.

I have been around animals my whole life. I currently have two cute cats and I have a lot of experience looking after dogs and other smaller animals such as cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs, as I've owned them all in the past. I am comfortable looking after your pets and will give them all the love they need
I am a keen walker so am very happy to walk your dog every day. When feeding your pets each time I visit I will feed the animal, check the house for anything unusual, clear mail and stay with your pet for 30min. I will ensure that I lock all doors and turn on an alarm (if any) after leaving the house.
When house sitting I am happy to stay at your home overnight to ensure that the animals feel safe and are not left alone. I will clear your mailbox for you &amp; watch over your home. In addition to caring for your pet(s), I am also happy to look out for the property and any household plants while you're away.

I sometimes I find it difficult to express how much animals mean to me in terms of how happy they make me feel just by looking at them, and how joyful they make me feel when I see them happy. From a young age, I have known to be constantly surrounded by animals. I grew up in the country of Timaru where we had multiple horses, 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 rabbits, 2 guinea pigs and a few fish so I never got bored as a child out in the country because I had heaps of company.&nbsp;
This upbringing I had with animals inspired me to pursue a career in helping and caring for animals and I am currently over halfway through my degree studying Zoology at Otago University. In my time down here, which is roughly 9 hours away from my animals at home I have dearly missed my pets therefore, I took the opportunity to be surrounded by animals again by starting volunteering at the SPCA here in Dunedin. This experience has been eye-opening to see how much people at the SPCA really do to ensure the safety of animals and put all their efforts into making sure deserted, lost, and uncherished animals find a forever home where they will be forever adored which is exactly what I want to do. My love for animals really sprung from my parents and sister as they all care a lot about animals and brought me up in a household filled with them, so I have them to thank for that.&nbsp;&nbsp;
I am open to dog walking as I am a fit person who loves to walk/run. Can walk for as long as needed and can walk more than one dog. I can home visit upto 2 times a day and spend nessacarry time with animals such as dogs, cats and other small animals and do any other required activities with them. I am also possibly open to house sitting, depending on the situtation. I am capable of administering oral medication as I have had experience with my own pets. I can take doggy day care as I can drive and take them to areas for running/walking around and provide a fun and exciting day for them.

My great love for animals started when I was young and continues to this day. I have a special interest in horses and dogs. I have been a pet owner for many years and I work closely with Dunedin Dog Rescue to support them where I can; currently I have an energetic rescue dog named Onyx and a young lab puppy called Quinn. 
I am an experienced dog walker, pet sitter, enjoy obedience and other forms of training like scent work and rally. I  am an alternative therapy practitioner for dogs, horses and humans. I am currently focussing on growing my skills by training towards becoming a dog behaviour specialist.&nbsp;

Hi I'm Vania - spending time with animals is my passion, it's what gets me out of bed in the morning. (I'm what they officially class as middle-aged but don't hold that against me haha) Whilst I've done office work for many years, animals are my passion and this is what I now do 100%
I grew up on 50 acre farm just north of Dunedin and loved every minute of it. We had sheep, goats, cattle, horses, pigs, turkeys, chickens, ducks, a variety of dogs such the inside family pet usually a westie or a cairn terrier and there was always at least one semi retired farm dog, as well as pet cats, ginea pigs, and pet rabbits. As children we were included in everything on the farm, rasing bobby calves, bottle feeding lambs, feeding out, bringing in hay and stacking, drenching, tailing lambs. I was the horse obsessed one of the family and I got my first shetland pony at the age of 4, I've had horses my whole life and have many years of experience- references available. 
I own 2 dogs, 2 horses &amp; 1 miniature pony Bart, a pet sheep and 2 "rescue" barn cats. I don't own my own land but assist the landowners where my paddock pets live with caring for their donkeys, horses, goats, alpacas, cows and ducks.  I thoroughly enjoy looking after animals regardless of whether they are my own or not, they all have their own unique personalities and all deserve the best of care. 
I understand how daunting it can be leaving your animals in the care of someone else, there's that worry that the person won't take the care you would, my aim is to makesure you are worry free knowing your animals are in good hands. I am hardworking and observant, and I really enjoy getting to know animals unique personalities.   Dog walking - available weekdays only - 30-60 minutes depending on dogs needs - option of your dog being walked on leash in local area or taken to nearby areas such as parks, beaches, rivers - or for those interested I have group adventures with my own well socialised friendly dogs (max group size 6 dogs) where the dogs are picked up/dropped off and are taken for 60 minute adventures at beach bush tracks, bush reserves, river walks and a privately owned forestry plantation. These group adventures are currently on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursday midday or later (try to avoid the rain downpours so it's not at fixed time) *Prior to joining the group we would have a free meet and greet with my dogs so we can check it will work for everyone before integrating into the group.&nbsp;
  House visits for cats and dogs and other backyard animals - visits are for 30 mins to cuddle, play, walk, let your pet outside, feed etc and can include other things like watering plants, checking mail box etc. I can give pets oral medication (and could tend to wound dressings if shown what is needed), this can also be booked to be used to take pets to appointments. Prices listed are for House visits are for house pets only - within 12km distance. &nbsp;
  Lifestyle blocks Services - pets and animal care - Lifestyle block visits can include (but not limited to) daily or twice daily visits to feed, check water, check livestock, let chickens out/in, cover/uncover horses, mucking out paddocks, catch horses for farrier bookings, move break fences, let dogs out for a run or alternatively take them somewhere local like a beach or river, give kittys who are missing their family cuddles. Can also water plants, check mail any other odd jobs needing completed if you are away. Lifestyle block visits start from $35 per visit - and as every lifestyle block has different needs we would need to individualise the care needed please message to enquire about livestyle block / farm visits.&nbsp;

hello, my name is Abby Thomson. I am 19 years old living in a hall in Dunedin. Currently studying early childhood. I do have a passion about animals absolutely love them. I have two dogs and two cats myself. Would provide walking dogs for around 1 hour or less i would be available to do this in the evening and afternoons. ￼ I would take the dogs for a walk. I would contact you asking what area is the dog is familiar with, just so the dog is comfortable around me. During house stays security measures I would take is insuring that if anyone knocks on the door you guys know who it is and are willing for me to open the door. I would insure all the doors are locked at all times I will insure the house is clean, such as watering, the plants, making sure the dishes or away, taking the dog outside for some fresh air, getting the mail in if needed. I would only be able to do home visits during evenings and afternoons as well just for a couple hours. I will insure you're coming home to a happy dog or animal into a clean house. my previous experience as I have volunteered at the vet before I walked animals. I have groomed animals before I have fed animals. I have Bathed them before.
