Hi!

My name is Lucy and I am 24 years old. I grew up in Wellington and spent all of my spare time with my pets and helping others walk and train their dogs. I compete in agility, rally-o, & scentwork. I have just finished my masters in dog genetics & nutrition at Massey & am now working as a dog handler & researcher at University of Waikato.

I have plenty of experience with all kinds of animals and have been doing housesitting, dog walking, and training for multiple years. Growing up we had dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and fish.

I am very confident around all kinds of dogs and as one of my dogs is reactive I am used to managing that as well.

Whilst in your home I can water any plants, bring in the mail, put bins out and anything else to make it easy for you once you return! When you’re away your dog will get at least one walk a day and I’m happy to do some training as well to brush up on their manners. I am also experienced in giving medication to both cats and dogs. During home visits I will make sure to actually spend some time hanging out with your pets so it’s not just a drop by to put food in their bowl.

* I am only taking on specific housesitting appointments due to having my own dogs who need to come with me for overnights (area dependent) so I understand this may not suit everyone. I am happy to keep them separate from your pets & they will not stay at your home when I am not there*
