Kia ora! I am a Canadian here on a two-year working holiday visa. I am a Fear-Free Certified veterinary professional and was a veterinary customer service representative for 11 years back in Canada, and even had my own dog walking/pet sitting business back home! I have experience working with fearful, reactive, and anxious dogs, as well as dogs with separation anxiety (Please see screenshots of my reviews on Rover, a service similar to Pawshake in Canada 🙂) I am fluent in canine body language. I know how to match the playful energy of a puppy or how to make a nervous senior feel secure and comfortable. I can pick up on the subtle signs that your pup may be stressed or anxious and modify my behaviour accordingly. Caring for dogs is in my blood. It's been a major part of my life since the age of 8 and, as you can tell. I've built my professional and personal life around caring for them. My soul dog, Bo, crossed the rainbow bridge in June 2025. We went everywhere together, even work. She inspired me to leave my career in media so that I could learn how to ensure she had the healthiest, fullest, longest life possible, while also helping other pet parents to learn the same. Cancer cut our time together short after 11 years, but it has been therapeutic for me to channel all of the love I still have for her into other pups. I would love to help with caring for your dog and help both of you live your best lives! I can't wait to hear from you and learn all about your baby!
