I’m Courtney! (Hobsonville📍)

I’m 27, a foodie, camper and an animal lover! I have been raised around animals for as long as I can remember! To me, if you own an animal, they are a part of the family and should be treated like a family member. I have been known to discuss my pets as if they were my own child… nothing wrong with that, right? My husband and I don’t have any pets currently, but looking to get a few once we have ticked off some more travel in the coming years, with the goal of starting a farm! 

I am a Business Coordinator, but I have completed my New Zealand Certificate in Animal Technology as I always wanted to be a Veterinary Nurse, however, I fell into the business world and thriving! I am now keen to get back into taking care of animals part-time. I am confident with animals, but I acknowledge the importance of building trust and an understanding with animals - they are just like humans, right? 

I am looking to become a pet-sitter (or in a better term, a pet butler!) as I understand how it is stressful leaving our fur-babies home when we need a holiday of our own! I have a bubbly, compassionate nature, and would love to comfort and take care of pets all over Auckland! 

Who I live with

My husband, he is an Electrician. He’s an animal lover and animals tend to love him because he has a very calming nature. Our family cat, Trevor, is quite a nervous cat and very picky with who lets into his life, but he adores Matt - lots of purrs and bunts for Matt! Matt might come for walks with me and your pup - but only if you are comfortable with that, and we would still do a meet and greet if that makes you feel more comfortable.

Services I can provide

• Dog walking

• Dog days out - beach days, bush walks

• Doggy Day-Care or grooming pick ups and drop offs

• Feeding (However many times a day is needed, even if you just need me to check in / play or cuddle)

• I can stay the night or day to pet-sit

• I can administer oral medication

• Small dogs that would be happy to stay inside at my house (only for a few hours) would be fine, however, we would need to discuss further.

My availability

• Weekends I am very flexible - calendar will be regularly updated

• I work from home 2 - 4 days a week, so if lunch time check ins or walks are needed, I’m free!

• I have availability mornings and evenings Monday to Friday.

• My work from home days are flexible so if you need a specific day, I can most likely accommodate that - happy to chat!

I can’t provide

• Animals can’t stay at our location as I wouldn’t feel comfortable because we aren’t fully fenced. Sorry, as much as we would love to!

Additional information

• I have a full clean drivers licence.
