It's one thing to simply feed a pet - guaranteeing they are well cared for is another, but I am confident in my ability to provide meticulous care for everyone's animals. I myself have previously been the proud pet parent of cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, fish, and birds, so have experience with all those- and more.

In 2012 I completed my certificate in Veterinary Nursing via Wintec in Hamilton, and while I didn't chose to continue this as a career, it has always been a pursuit of mine to continue to care for pets. During this course and in 2013, I alone was approached out of approximately 40 students to be the one to care for the myriad of onsite animals we had at our campus, including rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, chinchillas, many aquatic animals, chickens, parrots, small birds, and small ponies. While this was some time ago, I believe that opportunity indicates my trustworthiness and capability. In a pet sitting world, I prefer to care for pets in their own homes as they are always more content there. 

I have been pet sitting since 2016 via word of mouth in Whitianga, and have met many wonderful animals this way. I have a soft spot for elderly pets and particularly shy or timid pets, and am confident in administering levels of extra care depending on their needs. 

I also have a certificate in Horticulture, and care for many of my own plants, so plant care is also available.

Personally, I am quiet and friendly, attentive, and easy going. I work full time in retail, managing a small team of excellent people who are locals like me. I find caring for animals very rewarding, and treasure the trust the animals put in me as we form a connection. I hold myself to high expectations for my level of pet care.
