Hey! I'm Charlotte, and I currently reside in the beautiful river city of Whanganui, in the Kai Iwi area.

I currently work as a casual university-level Animal Welfare Science tutor, alongside a second part-time job. I hold a Bachelor of Animal Science (majoring in Animal Welfare) and a Master of Animal Science, giving me both practical experience and a strong understanding of animal health and welfare. 

I share my home with four cats, two of whom are rescued as feral kittens, as well as four axolotls. Having cared for many rescue and timid cats over the years, I understand that every animal has different needs and personalities. I'm experienced with shy, nervous, and anxious pets and am happy to work at their pace. I also share the care of two older dogs, whom I walk several times each week, and I've been a dog owner for most of my life. I'm am familiar with caring for rabbits, mice, rats, reptiles, turtles, fish, and other small animals.

I am very flexible with my time, and am available mornings and evenings for house visits, and middle of the day/early afternoon for dog walks.
Home visits can be once or twice daily, with each visit lasting up to an hour depending on your requirements.This time can include - feeding your animals, giving your dogs a run around the yard, cleaning litter trays, brushing, watering gardens/plants, feeding and caring for fish (also axolotls, turtles, reptiles), collecting mail, turning lights on and off, opening/closing curtains etc. 

Dog walks are one hour and can take place around your local neighbourhood or at some of my favourite spots, including the dog park on St Johns Hill, Castlecliff Beach, Kai Iwi Beach, Kaitoke Forest and Mountain Bike Park, or the Whanganui river bridges. I am happy to go at your owns dogs pace, according to their requirements, any health problems and age.

I'm comfortable administering medication to cats, dogs, and small animals. If your pet ever required veterinary attention while you were away, I would contact you immediately and organise any necessary care until you returned. I'm happy to keep in touch while you're away by sending regular updates and photos via your preferred method of communication.

Areas I can cover are the Kai Iwi area and the Whanganui city and outer area up to a 20km radius.
I am also happy to meet your pets prior to you going away so they are comfortable with me and will recognise me when I arrive at the house.
