Hi! I’m Neha, a friendly and caring dog lover based in Timaru. 🐾❤️

I’ve always loved dogs, and my main hands-on experience comes from caring for my own dog, where I’ve been responsible for their daily routine, feeding, walking, playtime, grooming and general care. This has taught me how important patience, consistency and understanding each dog’s individual personality can be.

I’d love to provide the same caring and personalised attention to your furry family member while you’re away.

I’m mainly available on weekends and for short stays. My husband Anand is also a big dog lover and may occasionally join me when his work and cricket commitments allow. During summer, Anand has cricket commitments on Saturdays, so I’ll generally be the primary sitter.

I’m not currently offering dog boarding at my own home.

🚶 Walks & exercise

My typical dog walk is around 30–45 minutes, depending on your dog’s age, breed, fitness, energy level and usual routine.

I’m happy to follow your dog’s normal walking routine and adjust the duration and pace to suit them. I’ll always prioritise their comfort and safety.

☀️ Doggy daycare routine

For daytime care, I’ll follow your dog’s usual routine as closely as possible. This can include a morning walk, breakfast, toilet breaks, supervised play, quiet time and naps, another walk or outdoor activity, feeding if required, and plenty of companionship and attention throughout the day.

I’ll make sure your dog gets a good balance of exercise, interaction and rest.

🏠 Time left alone

For house sitting and daytime care, I’ll discuss your dog’s routine and needs with you beforehand.

Generally, I can accommodate dogs that are comfortable being left alone for up to 3–4 hours at a time, depending on their age, temperament and individual needs. I’ll aim to keep alone time as short as reasonably possible.

If your dog requires constant supervision, please let me know before booking so we can discuss their needs.

💊 Medication support

I’m comfortable administering routine oral medication, such as tablets or capsules, including medication that can be given with food, provided clear instructions are supplied.

I can also assist with simple topical treatments where appropriate.

For injections or medication requiring specialised medical procedures, I would discuss the requirements with you beforehand.

🤝 Meet & greet

Before the first booking, I’d love to arrange a meet & greet with you and your dog.

We can discuss their personality, feeding schedule, walking routine, sleeping arrangements, behaviour, medication and any special requirements. It also gives your dog a chance to meet me before the booking.

📍 Timaru & occasional travel

I’m based in Timaru and mainly offer care on weekends and for short stays.

I’m also occasionally happy to travel outside Timaru for suitable house-sitting or pet-sitting bookings, depending on the distance, dates and my availability.
