I am a Thames local in my 50s who works from home and has a lifelong passion for caring for animals. I was raised on a farm, so being around animals has always been a natural and important part of my life. Becoming a pet sitter allows me to continue doing what I love most—providing animals with safe, kind, and attentive care while giving owners peace of mind.

With working at SPCA for years you soon realise you have multiple dogs to deal with but every dog is different. Some like walking, others playing and some just like to laze around. You just learn to cater to every dog, keeping all dogs in fenced-off boundaries, and on leads when out walking, making sure they come to no harm from other dogs while out. I always make sure my dogs are kept safe, separating them when eating for safety. 

Working at the SPCA also gave me experience working with dogs with behavioural problems and caring for dogs who need medication. This experience has given me a calm, patient approach and a strong understanding of animal behaviour and wellbeing.

As I work from home, your pet will have constant supervision, companionship, and plenty of love throughout the day. I offer a relaxed, home-based environment where dogs are treated as part of the family.

I recently lost my own dog to old age, which has deepened my empathy for both pets and their owners. For the safety and wellbeing of all animals in my care, I only accept fully vaccinated pets.
