A bit about me, my home and experience:
My name is Daneka and I would be delighted to be your dogs right hand man! I am a full-time online Waikato University student doing a bachelor of social sciences double majoring in psychology and sociology with a minor in forensic psychology. I am very flexible with time and available whenever you!
I love all animals big and small, and have extensive experience caring for dogs. During my time at university, I volunteered with the university laboratory dogs (scent detecting endangered native NZ sea life) to walk and play with them in their "work breaks", feed, outside work skill training and build great connections!! I love getting to know each dogs personality and am passionate in providing a fun environment for their health and well-being to aid in their development.
I am extremely confident with any temperaments as I grew up with an array of animals and family who work(ed) in farming, dog handling, horse training etc. I dedicate myself to being a patient and compassionate trainer and caregiver, working to understand the needs and personality of every animal. I'm a very active person so I will walk, run, and explore with your pet. I live on the back of a public park with loads of running area! I also live near local farm land and forest, alongside many bays and beaches. I believe all animals deserve to have the care and love from their human counter parts!! I'd love to be your dogs sitter to train, care and love your pet when your not at home.
I took care of my beautiful boy (Chino) for over 14 years and loved him so much! He was my world and so I understand how special a dog can be in someone's life!
In regards to services I can provide:
Walking - I would like to give every dog a good amount of time to have fun and get loads of exercise; therefore, depending on the weather, I can walk for 45 to 60 minutes. I am more than happy to continue or begin any training during this time to help with your dogs development.
Doggy daycare/boarding - As I am a full time online student, a lot of my time is spent from home so I am flexible with boarding or daycare on request. You are more than welcome to come and have a look at our area before your pup comes to stay. Daycare and boarding will include feeding, entertainment, walking etc. You are more than welcome to bring your pups bed or favourite toy to make them feel more at home!

For us, Daneka is the perfect sitter. She took such good care of our furbabies! It is obvious how much they like her and enjoy staying with her. Daneka always kept us updated with messages and photos, which was great - since you cannot call your dogs and ask how they are doing this is the next best thing, and we were always so glad to see how at home and relaxed they looked. This allowed us to spend our vacation guilt and worry-free. Daneka took our boys for walks, played with them and really went above and beyond to keep them entertained - thank you so much Daneka!
