Hi I’m Maddie.
I’m 22 years old and I love dog walking and house sitting. Im currently studying at Christian Bible course. I play music, like to cook, read, swim and exercise as well as look after my family. 
Ive been dog walking since I was 13 casually and started housesitting since 2022. I love pets, I've grown up with them and every animal I've met always seems to be comfortable around me. I've housesat for Guinea pigs, fish, birds, dogs and cats and have got some bookings for somewhere with chickens and sheep in a couple months time.
I’m reliable, caring, honest, friendly, polite, tidy and trustworthy. I strive to look after animals well, have fun with them and look after the house well too and hope to exceed expectations. 
My experience: I house sat in Masterton regularly for someone when I lived there, during weekends and looked after his cats. I house sat for a month in August 2022 for two french bulldogs. I currently house sit regularly for an elderly woman when she goes away, which has 3 cats. Occasionally I house sit for another who has 2 cats. She’ll happily look after my cat, feed her, cuddle her, brush her and play with her&nbsp;and give her her cat meds. It’s nice to have someone who’s available to look after her when I need to. She also happily cleans my house for me as I’m a bit older and can’t deep clean, she cleans my oven and hob before she leaves, vacuums, mops and cleans the bathroom which is very nice to come back to clean and tidy.&nbsp;She’s a nice person and very trustworthy. Hello, I have Madison come and house sit for my cat who has separation anxiety. She’s spent a lot of time with him, getting to know him so he’s comfortable&nbsp;with her. My cat Max knows when I go away, it’s every month for the weekend. With Madison he seems very comfortable which is comforting for me when I go away because I don’t want to stress about him, hoping he is okay.&nbsp;She spends a lot of time with him when she housesits so that he isn’t worried. If he becomes stressed about where I am he’ll meow and meow and run around the house wondering where I am. (This happened&nbsp;previously) it’s very nice to know that my cat is naturally happy around her and able to stay calm when I go away. Hello! I'm Klay and I recently moved to Auckland from Sydney.
My partner is an Aucklander and we're based in Point Chev. I have taken a year's sabbatical from my work as a keeper and trainer at Taronga Zoo, in Sydney. I'm seeing this as an opportunity to experience a change of pace and, as life doesn't feel quite right without animals in it, I'd love the chance to care for and/or walk your furry/scaly/feathery loves ones.
I've previously had my own large dogs (golden retriever and boxer and mastiff crosses) and feel comfortable and confident with all sorts of breeds and temperaments. If you have an older or slower individual who needs a gentle leash walk, with plenty of time to sniff and then rest periodically in a nice grassy spot, no problem! I have a real soft spot for senior citizens 🥹. Or if yours is super active and prefers a fast-paced, long walk, with plenty of time to run around off-leash, great! Let's burn some of that energy together! Or perhaps your dog is a little reactive and feels more comfortable away from busy areas? I'll happily spend some time with you and your dog prior to ensure I understand how to keep your precious pooch safe and content. After our outing I'll always check for fresh water and am happy to provide enrichment/treats/a meal, whatever your dog prefers to ensure maximum contentment!
Feline friends? I will happily drop in and feed/refresh water/clean litter trays and of course spend time with your cat - give them a brush, let them curl up in my lap, just provide company - whatever your kitty prefers. Again, I can stop in and meet you before you go away so that I can build some rapport with your cat and find out how to ensure they are well looked after in your absence.
Snakes and lizards - no problem providing husbandry, feeding, checking temperature and humidity parameters, sunning - whatever your requirements are.
Birds - I absolutely love birds and through work have taken care of birds of prey, parrots, finches and budgies. I've had my own chickens (obsessed with chickens...), and will happily provide husbandry, collect eggs, refresh food and water, spend time with your feathered pals.
A little more about me: I have a calm, patient and intuitive approach with animals. I care about our environment and aim to tread gently on this earth. I love being outdoors and amongst nature. I'm happiest on a beach or in the bush (as we call it in Aus!). 
I pride myself on excellent communication and reliability and will always put your animal's wellbeing first. Of course I'll be sure to keep you as updated as you like, with photos and various updates - whatever your preference is.

A South Auckland local, who has always been an animal person, grown up around chickens and cows and cats and doggos, your pet will get treated as one of my own, given all the love it could possibly imagine, and spoilt beyond measure. Happy to abide by any of your own house rules - dog sleeps in the crate, cool. Dog wants to sleep in my bed, also cool. 
Household has a miniature dachshund named Peach and a cat named Meow (the name has a long story!) both who love visitors and provide entertainment for your own pet. We love taking dogs out to our local beach Maraetai on leash, on walks around the park, to cafes or even Bunnings, so you know your doggo will never be alone and go wherever we go. We have flexible work conditions so somebody is always home when your pet is here. The property is our own and super small dog (think ramps, etc). 
We have doggy-sat countless dogs in our house, all of whom have had an amazing time and I haven't yet looked after a dog who doesn't become my best friend! Also have lots of experience with cats (I mean, Meow adopted us, not the other way round, of course) for any day visits you require. 
Also open to house sitting for short periods of time, where I will look after your house as my own. 
Due to having our own pets in the house, we will only accept vaccinated and not sick pets for stays in our home.
