Hi there! My name is Ashleigh, I’m 21 years old and originally from Hamilton. I’m currently a fourth-year veterinary student at Massey University in Palmerston North, based in the Summerhill area.

I’ve grown up on a dairy farm, so animals have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve cared for a wide range of animals including dogs, cats, sheep, chickens, and cows, which has given me a strong understanding of both the joys and responsibilities that come with pet ownership.

Pet sitting is a great way for me to support my studies while spending time doing something I genuinely love. I really value the bond formed with each animal and take pride in making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away.

What I offer:

• Dog walking: Usually 30–60 minutes per walk, but I’m happy to tailor this to suit your dog’s energy levels and needs.
• Home visits: Feeding, fresh water, playtime, enrichment, and plenty of attention. I aim to keep your pet’s routine as consistent as possible.
• Updates: I provide regular photo and message updates so you can feel reassured while you’re away.
• Flexibility: With my university schedule, I can adapt to your pet’s routine and specific requirements.

Safety & care:
As a veterinary student, I’m confident in recognising signs of illness or distress. In the unlikely event of an emergency, I will contact you immediately and can take your pet to your preferred vet (or the nearest clinic if needed).

I also love being outdoors and going for walks, so I’d be more than happy to take your dog out for longer walks or adventures if that’s something they enjoy.
